Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The
socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains voltage
must correspond to the technical data of the device. Only use proper extension cords, whose
technical data correspond to those of the device.
Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow the
cord to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch him/herself
and pull down the device.
Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces, including those of the device.
Do not pull or carry the device by the cord.
Notes on use
Check the device for damages prior to each use. If the device, the cord or the plug exhibit
visible damages, the device may not be used. Do not use the device if it malfunctions, has
fallen down or in water.
If the device is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of damage, contact
the customer service department.
Remove the power plug from the socket
if you are not using the device,
before you replace the baking surfaces,
if a fault occurs during operation,
before a storm,
before you clean it.
If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but always on
the plug.
Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, cord or plug do
not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls in water, immediately discon-
nect the power supply. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water!
Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
Do not leave the device on when it is unattended.
Only use original spare parts provided by the manufacturer.
Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
Only use heat-resistant utensils for placing foods on or removing them from the device. Keep
metallic objects or other objects with sharp edges away from the device. They may damage
the non-stick coat of the baking surfaces.
Do not insert foods packed in cling lm or plastic bags in the device.
Never spray cold water on the baking surfaces during or directly after use. This could damage
the non-stick coating of the baking surfaces and the device!
Always allow the device to cool off completely before you stow it.
Do not place ammable materials (e.g. cardboard, plastic, paper or candles) on or in the device.
Warranty conditions
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded from the
warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
