Installation & Assembly

CAUTION – RISK OF SHOCK – Disconnect Power at the main
circuit breaker panel or main fuse box before starting and during
the installation.
1) Insert split flexible washer below metal washer on fixture
body.
2) Pass fixture wire through hole in cap. Lower cap down. Set
cap on top of metal washer.
3) Pass fixture wire through stem and thread end of stem to
top of fixture body.
4) Pass fixture wire through remaining stems and screw stems
together.
NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all
stem threads as noted with symbol (3) to prevent accidental
rotation of fixture during cleaning, relamping, etc.
5) Pass fixture wire through end of swivel without threaded
pipe. Thread swivel onto end of last stem.
NOTE Align swivel to ceiling slope if needed.
6) Pass fixture wire through hole in canopy. Pass threaded pipe
on end of swivel up through hole in canopy.
7) Pass fixture wire through hole in lockwasher. Thread lockwasher
onto end of threaded pipe protruding from inside canopy.
Pass fixture wire through hole in hexnut. Thread hexnut onto
threaded pipe. Tighten hexnut to secure swivel to canopy.
8) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap.
Assemble mounting screws into threaded holes.
9) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws not provided).
Mounting strap can be adjusted to suit position of fixture.
10) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a
hole and two raised dimples. Wrap ground wire from
outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into
hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach
ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and
green ground screw, and thread into mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture
ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector.
(Not provided.) After following the above steps. Never
connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.
11) Make wire connections (connectors not provided.) Reference
chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.
12) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws
through holes in canopy.
13) Thread knurl knobs onto ends of mounting screws. Tighten
knurl knobs to secure fixture to ceiling.
14) Raise glass up towards fixture. Pass small hole in top of
glass over socket.
15) Once the glass is raised over the slotted coupler, insert the
clear washer and steal washer into the slot of the slotted
coupler as shown.
16) Lower glass onto the clear washer and steal washer.
IMPORTANT: After glass has been assembled to fixture, if glass
does not hang straight: Raise glass and cap up. Rotate glass the
appropriate direction (either clockwise or counter clockwise).

Carefully lower glass and cap down and allow glass to rest on
finials. Repeat this process until glass hangs straight.
To Remove Glass:
1) Remove socket cluster from socket.
2) Raise glass and cap up.
3) Remove clear & steal washer.
4) Lower glass and cap down. Allow cap to rest on top of metal
washer. Continue to carefully lower glass. Pass top hole in
glass down over socket.
