8. Check all four Lift Arms again to make sure the Lift Pads are directly under the Lifting Points.
If they are not, adjust them so that they are. If necessary, move the Lift all the way back down to
the ground and start over.
9. Push the Up Pushbutton to raise the Vehicle until it is a few inches off the ground.
10. Release the Up Pushbutton, then check to make sure the Lift Pads have solid contact with the
Vehicle’s Lifting Points and that the Vehicle is balanced on all four of the Lift Arms.
You can give the Vehicle a slight push to make sure it is solid and balanced.
If the Vehicle is
not
solid or
not
well balanced, lower it back to the ground (see Lowering the
Lift for the lowering procedure) and make the necessary adjustments.
11. Push in and hold the Up Pushbutton.
12. When the Vehicle reaches the desired height, go up a bit further, then release the Up Pushbutton.
13. Push and hold the Lowering Handle to lower the Lift down and engage it on the nearest Safety
Lock.
14. Double check to make sure both Lift Heads are on a Safety Lock and that the Safety Locks they
are on are at the same height.
If the Lift Heads are engaged on Safety Locks at different heights, this is dangerous. Carefully
lower the Lift back down to the ground and start over.
If the Lift continues to engage on Safety Locks at different heights, refer to Troubleshooting.
Do not leave the Lift controls until the Lift is engaged on its Safety Locks or on
the ground.
15. Begin work on the Vehicle.
