When the port status displays Active, it indicates the successful connection of the GVR3550 and the router,
the parameters have taken effect.
ENABLE MULTICAST GROUP
When access the GVR3550 and apply live view via remote network, users will unable to preview if
multiaccess exceeded the maximum bandwidth the GVR3550 allows. This problem could be solved with
multicast protocol access by setting multicast IP.
Multicast IP is Class D IP address and its range is from 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255. It is recommended to
adopt address within 239.252.0.0 to 239.255.255.255.
SERVER SETTINGS
The GVR3550 supports NTP, DHCP and SMTP. See figure 51.

ENABLE NTP SERVER
GVR3550 could provide other devices in the network with NTP service. Check Enable NTP Server to
initialize this function.
ENABLE DHCP SERVER
The GVR3550 could allocate dynamic IP address as DHCP server to other devices with the same segment.
The procedures are:
1. Check Enable DHCP Server.
2. Input the assignable IP address range as DHCP address pool.
3. Set Lease Time.
4. Set DNS server address and the secondary DNS server address.
