11. Use as a power supply / Connect charger

Using the charger as a normal DC power supply

Connect the device to be powered (e.g. battery charger, mini electric drill or similar) to the socket

marked “Power output”.

Caution: please take particular care to maintain correct polarity: red plug on connecting lead to the left

(+), black plug to the right (-). It is essential to use charge leads of adequate conductor cross-section.

Charge leads must not be more than 30 cm long, and must terminate in high-quality connectors at

both ends (gold-contact types).

1. Move the Mains PSU / Charger change-over switch to the “PWS” position.

2. Rotate the adjuster knob to set the voltage to the desired value (11 - 26 V). The upper half of the

LCD screen displays the set voltage.

3. Set the current adjuster knob to the desired maximum current value. The lower half of the LCD

screen displays the set current, but it only appears when you connect the unit to be powered.
