Dimensions approx. (W x D x H) 192 mm x 255 mm x 85 mm
The stated values are just a guideline; the actual values may vary according to the state and temperature of the battery etc.
The PSU can also be used to charge 12 V lead-acid batteries at constant current and constant
voltage.
Connect the lead-acid battery to the “Power” output (PSU output), and set the PSU / Charger
change-over switch to “PWS”.
Check with the greatest care that the polarity of the battery and charge lead is correct.
- RED to POSITIVE TERMINAL (+)
- BLACK to NEGATIVE TERMINAL (-)
Caution!
This method of charging does not feature automatic charge termination. The battery is fully charged
when the charge current falls to 0.1 - 0.2 A. Always charge lead-acid batteries in the open air or a
well-ventilated room.
Calculating the maximum charge current and max. voltage:
The maximum charge current should be no higher than 1/10 of the battery’s nominal capacity (see
formula below)
Battery to be charged Voltage range Constant current
12 V lead-acid battery 13,8V~14,2V
1/10 x

1h
Example: 12 V lead-acid battery: constant current= 7 Ah
= 700mA
