Instructions for use GRP-90162

Steering Trim
The Monster Truck MT6 should go straight without turning the steering wheel. If not, rotate the Steering Trim
knob in the direction needed for the vehicle to go straight.
Throttle/Brake Trim
Let the throttle in neutral position and push the vehicle on the ground a little. It must be easy to roll. Now
press the brake, the vehicle should stop immediately. If not, rotate the Throttle Trim knob right of the steering
wheel in the direction needed.
Before starting the engine please check the carburetor linkage. Turn on the transmitter and model. Now pull
the throttle to full and check the carburetor to opening completely.
CHECKLIST BEFORE YOU START
Check all screws on permanent seat.
Check all the moving parts to work without binding.
Check the air lter. When appropriate, clean the lter.
Check the Fuel tubes for leaks.
Check the batteries in the remote control.
Check your frequency, so that a trouble-free operation is ensured.
RUN-IN THE ENGINE
The Run-In phase of the engine is crucial for the proper performance. If you don´t keep the conditions exactly,
you can damage the engine and shorten its life.
You should avoid high numbers of revolutions during the rst two tank llings and also not drive longer time
with the same speed, in no case longer time with full power! Only after that you can use the full en-gine po-
wer.
STARTING THE ENGINE
Fill rst the tank with mixed fuel (gasoline 25: oil 1) and close the tank lid carefully. Switch on transmitter 1.
and car.
Press the primer pump on the carburator for several times, until its lled with gasoline ( g. 1).2.
Close the air throttle and leave the throttle valve on idle ( g. 2). Pull as fast as possible on the recoil star-3.
ter, until the engine ignites. Usually the engine will stop immediately. Now open the air throttle for about
1/4 to 1/3, open the throttle valve a little and pull again the recoil starter until the engine starts.
Let the cold engine run a little bit in idle before driving, in order to warm it up.4.
If the engine is already warm, you can leave the air throttle opened. Press now several times on the pri-5.
mer pump at the carburator, until its lled with gasoline, and start the engine.
To stop the engine, press the engine stop switch, until the engine goes out (see g.).6.
The engine is correctly adjusted at the factory. So you do not need make any settings at the engine. If it 7.
should not run satisfyingly, proceed as follows:
With the idle-adjustment screw you can adjust the idling speed of the engine. You should adjust the en-
gine that it turns as low as possible without stop. With the low-speed needle the engine is adjusted in the
lower speed range, with the high-speed needle in the upper (basic adjustment: screws in-turn completely
and then unscrew approx. 1,5 revolutions).
If the MT6 accelerates retarded, then it runs too lean. In this case you turn the low-speed needle against
the clockwise direction (approx. 1/8 revolution). If the engine accelerates only slowly with heavy smoke
development, it runs too rich, turn the low speed needle in the clockwise direction (approx. 1/8 revoluti-
on).
