Cleaning the spark arrestor
Check and clean the spark arrestor after 50 hours of use or 3 m onths.
1. Allow the engine to cool completely before servicing the spark arrester.
2. Remove the two screws holding the cover plate which retains the end of the spark arrester to
the muffler.
3. Remove the spark arrester screen.
4. Carefully remove the carbon deposits from the spark arrester screen with a wire brush.
5. Replace the spark arrester if it is damaged.
6. Position the spark arrester in the muffler and attach with the two screws.
Maintenance Guide
Periodic maintenance and adjustment is necessary to keep the generator in good operating
condition.
WARNING! Exhaust gas contains poisonous carbon monoxide. Shut off the engine before
performing any maintenance. If the engine must be run, make sure the areas is well ventilated.

dusty areas.
