TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Bar and chain
running hot and
smoking.
Check chain tension for
overtightened condition.
Tension chain. Refer to Page 31.
Chain oil tank empty. Add bar and chain oil.
Motor runs, but
chain is not rotating.
Chain tension too tight. Refer to Chain Tension Guide earlier in this
manual.
Check guide bar and chain
assembly.
Refer to Page 29.
Check guide bar and chain
for damage.
Remove the battery from the unit. Take the bar
cover off, and remove the bar and chain. Clean
all debris from the chainsaw. After all debris is
cleared, insert battery and run the chainsaw.
If the sprocket is spinning your motor is okay.
If the sprocket is not spinning, call customer
service at 1-855-345-3934
Motor runs, chain
rotates but does not
cut.
Dull chain. Sharpen chain.
Chain on backwards. Reverse direction of chain.
Chainsaw does not
start.
Battery is not charged
.
Place battery into the charger and allow
charging up to 1 hour (2Ah) or 2 hours
(4Ah).
Switch is defective
.

Chain Brake Is Engaged Dis-engage chain brake, pull
towards front handle.
