OPERATION
For complete charging instructions, refer to
the Operator’s Manuals for your battery
pack and charger models.
NOTE: To avoid serious personal injury, always
remove the battery pack and keep hands clear of
the lock-out button when carrying or transporting
the tool.
INSTALL BATTERY PACK
Ƶ Place the battery pack in the hedge trimmer.
Align raised rib on battery pack with groove in hedge
trimmer. See Figure 2.
Ƶ Make sure the latch on the battery pack snaps in
place and that battery pack is secured in hedge
trimmer before beginning operation.
REMOVE BATTERY PACK
Ƶ Locate the latch on the battery pack and depress to
release the battery pack from the hedge trimmer. See
Figure 2.
Ƶ Remove battery pack from the hedge trimmer.
CAUTION
When placing battery pack in your hedge trimmer,
be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with groove
in hedge trimmer and latch snaps in place properly.
Improper assembly of battery pack can cause damage
to internal components.
STARTING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Ƶ Remove the blade cover.
Ƶ For added safety, there is a micro switch in the front
handle. See Fig. 3. When operating, hold the trimmer
with both hands, one hand to pull the trigger lock
button backward and squeeze the trigger, and the
other hand to squeeze the front handle.
Ƶ Release the trigger lock button and continue to
squeeze the trigger for extended operation.
STOPPING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Ƶ Release the trigger to stop the hedge trimmer.
Ƶ Upon release of the trigger, the trigger lock button will
be automatically reset to the lock position.
Ƶ Remove battery pack from the hedge trimmer.
OPERATING TIPS
Ƶ Do not force the hedge trimmer through heavy
shrubbery. This can cause the blades to bind and
slow down. If the blades slow down, reduce the pace.
