Hardware Identification å Screws are shown actual size. You may receive extra hardware with your unit.
Step 1 å Assemble your unit on a carpeted floor or on the empty carton to avoid scratching your unit or the floor. å Push eight HIDDEN CAMS (1F) into the BOTTOM (E) and SHELF (F). Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM. Do not tighten the HIDDEN CAMS in this step. 2F (8 used) Arrow 1F F E Arrow Insert the metal end of the CAM DOWEL into the HIDDEN CAM.
Step 2 å Turn sixteen CAM SCREWS (8F) into the LEGS (H and I) as shown in the upper diagram. å Push sixteen HIDDEN CAMS (1F) into the ENDS (A and B), and PANELS (G). 8F (16 used) H 8F H I I Arrow 1F A B G G Arrow Hole The arrow in the HIDDEN CAM must point toward the hole in the edge of the board.
Step 3 å å Carefully turn the ENDS (A and B) and PANELS (G) over. å å NOTE: Do not overtighten the SCREWS. å NOTE: If the MOLDING comes up off of the SCREWS, remove it and slide it on again. Turn twelve BLACK 9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (32S) into the ENDS (A and B) and PANELS (G) until the shoulders of the SCREWS rest on the surfaces of the ENDS and PANELS. Slide the END MOLDINGS (K) onto the ENDS (A and B). Line up the grooves in the MOLDINGS over the heads of the SCREWS in the ENDS.
Step 4 å First, fasten the RIGHT END (A) to a RIGHT FRONT/LEFT REAR LEG (H). Tighten three HIDDEN CAMS. å Next, fasten a LEFT FRONT/RIGHT REAR LEG (I) to the RIGHT END (A). Step 5 å First, fasten the LEFT END (B) to the LEFT FRONT/RIGHT REAR LEG (I) . Tighten three HIDDEN CAMS. å Next, fasten the RIGHT FRONT/LEFT REAR LEG (H) to the LEFT END (B). Step 6 å Fasten the SHELF (F) to the LEFT END (B). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. Sur HIDface w DEN ith CA MS F These holes must be here. B H Caution Risk of damage or injury. HIDDEN CAMS must be completely tightened. HIDDEN CAMS that are not completely tightened may loosen, and parts may separate.
Step 7 å Fasten the PANELS (G) to the LEGS (H and I). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the PANELS (G) to the SHELF (F). Use six BLACK 1-15/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (113S). Surface with HIDDEN CAMS G These holes must be here.
Step 8 å Slide the PANEL MOLDINGS (J) onto the PANELS (G). Line up the grooves in the MOLDINGS over the heads of the SCREWS in the PANELS. å NOTE: If the MOLDING comes up off of the SCREWS, remove it and slide it on again. J J Apply pressure with your hands as you guide the PANEL MOLDINGS over the SCREWS and onto the PANELS.
Step 9 å Insert two WOOD DOWELS (15F) into the edge of the UPRIGHT (C). å Insert the WOOD DOWELS in the UPRIGHT (C) into the holes in the SHELF (F). Don't worry. It isn't Rome. This can be built in a day.
Step 10 å Fasten the BOTTOM (E) to the LEFT END (B). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the BOTTOM (E) to the UPRIGHT (C). Use two BLACK 1-15/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (113S).
Step 11 å Slide the BOTTOM MOLDINGS* (L) onto the notched edges of the BOTTOM (E). å *U.S. Patent No. 5,499,886 Groove Slide the BOTTOM MOLDING (L) onto the notched edge.
Step 12 å Fasten the RIGHT END (A) to the BOTTOM (E) and SHELF (F). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS. å NOTE: You may need to use your short screwdriver to tighten the HIDDEN CAMS in the SHELF (F). å Fasten the LEGS (H and I) to the PANELS (G). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS.
Step 13 å å å Carefully stand your unit upright. Push six BUMPERS (2M) into the PANELS (G) and LEGS (H and I). Hey! It's starting to look like something! Peel APPLIQUES from the APPLIQUE CARDS (91P) and stick them onto each visible HIDDEN CAM.
Step 14 å Fasten the LIFT TABLE MECHANISMS (74M) to the TOP (D). Use six BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å NOTE: Be sure to position the LIFT TABLE MECHANISMS on the TOP exactly as shown. 1S BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (6 used in this step) 74M The holes are closer to this edge. 74M D Meet Part (D). This component has been engineered to be lighter, stronger, faster… well ok. Not technically faster.
Step 15 å Fasten the SUPPORT BRACKETS (37G) to the LIFT TABLE MECHANISMS (74M). Use four BLACK WASHERS (13M), NUTS (24M), and BLACK 3/4" MACHINE SCREWS (92S). å NOTE: Position the SUPPORT BRACKETS exactly as shown.
Step 16 å å IMPORTANT: You will need someone's help in this step. å NOTE: Be careful when lining up the holes in the MECHANISMS with the holes in the ENDS as to not damage any parts. Fasten the TOP (D) to the ENDS (A and B). Use ten BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S) through the LIFT TABLE MECHANISMS (74M) and into the holes in the ENDS. 1S BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (10 used in this step) D These four holes must be here. 74M B 74M NOTE: Be sure to use the exact holes shown for the SCREWS.
Step 17 å Fasten the BUSHINGS (91M) to the ENDS (A and B). Use two BLACK 3/4" PAN HEAD SCREWS (85S) through the BUSHINGS, through two WASHERS (80M), through the LIFT TABLE MECHANISMS (74M), and into the ENDS. å NOTE: Do not overtighten the SCREWS.
Step 18 å Fasten the BRACE (M) to the SUPPORT BRACKETS (37G) on the LIFT TABLE MECHANISMS (74M). Use four BLACK WASHERS (13M), NUTS (24M), and BLACK 1-1/4" MACHINE SCREWS (93S). å NOTE: Use a crescent wrench and a phillips screwdriver in this step.
Step 19 å å å IMPORTANT: Do not place valuables in the storage space. NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Utiliser dix VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (1S) à travers les MÉCANISMES DE LEVAGE DE TABLE (74M) et dans les trous des EXTRÉMITÉS.
