4. Users should note that Swabs used may contain a small amount of nitrate and so a small nitrate peak visible
on the Electropherogram should not be considered a fail of this check.
If the result of a blank sample test is an ALERT, the User can try basic troubleshooting techniques detailed in the
troubleshooting section of this manual (refer to Section 10).
6.9 Service Screen
The SERVICE REQUIRED Screen is designed to inform the User that the device requires servicing. This screen will
be displayed when service level errors occur that cannot be fixed by the User.The notification will provide the User
with an indication of the source of the issue. If the service screen is observed, try restarting the device to solve the
problem. If the service notification continues to be displayed contact the GreyScan service team.

6.10 Logging Out
To log a User out of the device, navigate to the Settings Screen and press the Log Out button .
This will log the current User out of the device and display the PIN Code Screen to allow a new User to log in.
