Use the cutting blade only to work
on open, level areas. Inspect care-
fully the area to be cut and remove
all foreign bodies. Avoid impacts on
stones, metal or other obstacles.
The metal cutting blade could be
damaged and there is a risk of re-
coil.
When working, hold the cutting head
over the ground and swing the equip-
ment slowly to and fro in an even
curve, like a strimmer.
Do not hold the cutting head at an angle.
Do not use the equipment to cut uncon-
trolled growth, undergrowth or scrub.
Check the metal cutting blade regular-
ly for damage and replace damaged
cutting blades.
If the Equipment Vibrates
Clean the equipment, remove any grass
remnants present on the cutting head and
in the protective cover.
Care and Maintenance
Have any work not described in
these instructions carried out by
our Grizzly service centre. Wear
gloves when handling the metal
cutting blade and thread cutter.
Risk of injury.
Never use metallic threads or
saw blades. The use of such non-
original parts can cause personal
injury and irreparable damage
to the equipment and will result
in immediate invalidation of the
guarantee.
Cleaning the Equipment
Clean the cutting device and protective
cover of grass and earth after each
cutting procedure.
The equipment is to be neither sprayed
with water nor placed in water.
Do not use detergents or solvents.
These could cause irreparable damage
to the equipment.

Changing the Reel
1. Switch o󰀨 the engine.
2. Place the equipment on the ground and
ensure that the equipment is safely sup-
ported.
3. Press the cover of the thread bobbin
in at the side and pull the cover up to
remove it.
4. Extract the thread reel from the spool
capsule.
5. To install the new reel, thread both
thread ends through the eyes in the
reel capsule. Press the reel into the reel
capsule. Ensure that the springs are sit-
ting correctly here.
6. Press the cover of the thread bobbin
back on to the thread bobbin carrier. The
cover snaps into place.
Sharpening the Thread Cutter
Wear protective gloves to avoid
cutting injuries.
1. Unscrew the thread cutter from the
protective cover.
2. Fix the thread cutter in a vice and
sharpen the blade with a at le. File
carefully and only ever in one direc-
tion.
