Additional Safety for Downdraft Tables 1. FILTER CAPABILITIES. This downdraft table is to be used for wood dust collection only. DO NOT use this machine to filter or collect liquids (especially flammables), metal shavings, lead paint, or asbestos or collect burning or smoking material, including matches, cigarettes, and hot ashes. DO NOT use this machine to dissipate smoke or fumes. 2. IMPELLER EXPOSURE. Always operate the machine with the filters in place. Unplug the machine before removing the filters. 3.

SECTION 2: CIRCUIT REQUIREMENTS 110V Operation Electrocution or fire could result if this machine is not grounded correctly or if your electrical configuration does not comply with local and state codes. Ensure compliance by checking with a qualified electrician! Serious personal injury could occur if you connect the machine to the power source before you have completed the set up process. DO NOT connect the machine to the power source until instructed to do so.

SECTION 3: SETUP Setup Safety This machine presents serious injury hazards to untrained users. Read through this entire manual to become familiar with the controls and operations before starting the machine! Wear safety glasses during the entire set up process! The Model G0631 is a heavy machine. DO NOT over-exert yourself while unpacking or moving your machine—get assistance.

Inventory If any nonproprietary parts are missing (e.g. a nut or a washer), we will gladly replace them; or for the sake of expediency, replacements can be obtained at your local hardware store. Site Considerations Floor Load Refer to the Machine Data Sheet on Page 3 for the weight and footprint specifications of your machine. Some residential floors may require additional reinforcement to support both the machine and operator. Placement Location Consider existing and anticipated needs, size of material to be processed through each machine, and space for auxiliary stands, work tables or other machinery when establishing a location for your new machine.

5. Secure the right and left panels with the remaining pins (Figure 9). 7. Test Run 4. Once the assembly is complete, test run your downdraft table to make sure it runs properly and verify safety features are in working order. —When operating correctly, the machine runs smoothly with little or no vibration or rubbing noises. If, during the test run, you cannot easily locate the source of an unusual noise or vibration, stop using the machine immediately, then review the Troubleshooting on Page 20.

SECTION 4: OPERATIONS Operation Safety Dust Drawers Frequently monitor and empty the dust drawers of accumulated sawdust (Figure 13). Damage to your eyes, lungs, and ears could result from using this machine without proper protective gear. Always wear safety glasses, a respirator, and hearing protection when operating this machine. SECTION 6: MAINTENANCE Filters Always disconnect power to the machine before performing maintenance. Failure to do this may result in serious personal injury. The filters may need to be serviced or replaced if suction is noticeably reduced. The amount of use has a direct bearing on how often you must service or change the 1" prefilter and 2" filter.
