Safety Instructions For Power Tools 9. USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD for the tool. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. Conductor size should be in accordance with the chart below. The amperage rating should be listed on the motor or tool nameplate. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. Your extension cord must also contain a ground wire and plug pin. Always repair or replace extension cords if they become damaged.

DO NOT jam the workpiece against the sharpening surface. Firmly grasp the workpiece in both hands and ease it against the sharpener using light pressure. DO NOT wear loose clothing while operating this machine. Roll up or button sleeves at the cuff. DO NOT place hands near, or in contact with, sharpening surfaces during operation.

FEATURES & CONTROLS The set up and operation instructions will be easier to understand if you are familiar with the basic features of the Model H6069 Wet Sharpener. OPERATIONS Filling Reservoir To fill the water reservoir: 1. DISCONNECT FROM THE POWER SOURCE. 2. Loosen the tool rest adjustment lock handles and move the tool rest away from the sharpening stone. 3. Fill the water reservoir. See Figure 2 Fill Here Reduce the risk of electrocution by keeping all connections dry and off the ground. DO NOT touch plugs with wet hands. Tool Rest Sharpening Equipped with an adjustable tool rest, the Model H6069 enables precise control over the sharpening operation. Figure 3 shows the height and angle adjustment lock handles for the tool rest. The Model H6069 Wet Sharpener, if properly used, will help you maintain the quality and life of your tools by keeping them sharp.
MAINTENANCE Reservoir Rinsing With use, the water reservoir will begin to fill with ground material from the objects being sharpened and wheel particles removed during the sharpening process. Keep the water reservoir clean and free of residue build up. To rinse the water reservoir: 1. UNPLUG THE SHARPENER FROM THE POWER SOURCE. 2. Tilt the sharpener to drain any water in the reservoir through the drain trough on the back of the sharpener. 3. Move the tool rest away from the grinding wheel. 4.
