INSTALLATION GUIDE
Groovy Mats are DIY and install in minutes.
Wall-to-wall Installation
1. Start in one corner of the room with a Groovy Mats corner tile (with both border
edges attached) leaving a ¼” gap away from the wall for expansion and
contraction over time.
2. Add Groovy Mats border tiles (with one border edge attached) outward along the
adjacent walls.
3. Continue to add border tiles and inside tiles (with no edges attached) where you
see fit.
4. When coming up to an opposite walls, cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a ¼” gap
away from the walls.
Area Rug (free floating) Installation
1. Start with one Groovy Mats corner tile (with both border edges attached)
2. Add Groovy Mats border tiles (with one border edge attached) outward from the
corner tile along the adjacent sides.
3. Continue to add corner tiles, border tiles and inside tiles (with no edges attached)
where you see fit.
Note: Adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the interlocked tiles
together is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. You can use some
double-sided carpet tape to prevent any movement where necessary.
