If the pump is installed in the return pipe of the system,
the internal temperature sensor can be used. In this
case, the pump must be installed as close as possible
to the consumer (radiator, heat exchanger, etc.).

Constant curve
The pump can be set to operate according to a
constant curve, like an uncontrolled pump. See fig. 36.
The desired speed can be set in % of maximum speed
in the range from 25 to 100 %.

Note: If the pump speed is set in the range between
minimum and maximum, the power and pressure are
limited when the pump is running on the max. curve.
This means that the maximum performance can be
achieved at a speed lower than 100 %. See fig. 37.

The pump can also be set to operate according to the
max. or min. curve, like an uncontrolled pump:
The max. curve mode can be used in periods in
which a maximum flow is required. This operating
mode is for instance suitable for hot water priority.
The min. curve mode can be used in periods in
which a minimum flow is required. This operating
mode is for instance suitable for manual night
setback if Automatic Night Setback is not desired.
These two operating modes can be selected via the
digital inputs.

The MAGNA3 offers additional features for the control
modes to meet specific demands.

constant pressure
constant temperature
constant curve.
In the flow range between 0 and Q
