TUNER MODE

FM radio mode
Selecting the tuner input source
1 For the best FM reception, align the wire an-
tenna accordingly.
2 Select the FM input source with »
f

« on the
device or »DAB/FM« on the remote control.
– Display: » FM RADIO « and the name of the ra-
dio station or the frequency.
– The most recently selected station is played
(Last Station Memory).
Selecting presets
1 Select the required station using the number but-
tons »1« to »0« directly.
Note:

For two-digit presets, press the number but-
tons briefly one after the other.
2 Select the radio station step-by-step with »G«
or »H« .
Stereo/mono reception
When the device receives stereo channels,
»!« appears in the display. If the signal from
the stereo channel is weak, you can improve the
sound quality by switching to mono reception.
1 Press »STEREO 7« to switch to mono recep-
tion.
– Display: » MONO « appears briefly and »!«
disappears.
2 To switch back to stereo reception, press
»STEREO 7«.
– Display: » STEREO « appears briefly and
»!« appears.
RDS information
RDS (Radio Data System) is an information sys-
tem which is transmitted additionally by most FM
stations.
When the device receives an RDS station, the
station name appears in the display, for exam-
ple: »FANTASY« and » «.
Notes:

It may take some time before all the RDS
information is transmitted.

GRUNDIG has no influence on the correct-
ness of this information.
Searching for an RDS station
1 Select the RDS station by pressing »G« or
»H« repeatedly until an RDS station is re-
ceived and » « appears in the display.
– If the reception is strong enough, the station
name appears after a short time.
Displaying RDS station information
If the device receives an RDS station, the sta-
tion name appears in the display together with
» «. If no information is available, the re-
ception frequency appears in the display.
Additional information can be displayed.
1 To display information on the current RDS sta-
tion, press »DISPLAY« repeatedly.
– The following displays are shown one after
the other:
The radio text;
the current programme type (PTY), e.g.
»Pop music«;
»[No PTY]« appears if information is not
available;
the frequency;
the preset.
