EXTERNAL DATA MEDIA MODE

Inserting/connecting music data
media
Inserting the disc
1 Press »

« to open the front screen of the de-
vice and the CD compartment.
2 Put in the disc with its label facing ahead.
3 Press »

« to close the front screen of the de-
vice and the CD compartment.
– Display: » CD READ «, the disc is read.
– Display in MP3/WMA mode: the total
number of albums and tracks.
– Display in CD-DA mode: the total number of
tracks and the total playing time.
Connecting an MP3 player or a USB
memory stick
1 Press »8« to switch off the device.
2 Connect the USB interface of the MP3 player
to the »USB« socket of the device with a stand-
ard USB cable;
or
insert the USB plug of the USB memory stick
into the USB interface »USB« of the device.
3 Press »8« to switch on the device.
– Display: » USB READ «, then the total number
of albums and tracks.
Inserting an SD/SDHC/MMC memo-
ry card
1 Press »8« to switch off the device.
2 Insert the memory card carefully into the »SD«
card slot with the contacts facing the rear, until
it latches into place.
3 Press »8« to switch on the device.
– Display: » SD CARD «, then the total number of
albums and tracks.
Selecting the input source
1 Select the input source (»CD«, »SD« or »USB«)
by pressing »
f

« on the device or »CD/SD/
USB« on the remote control.
Playback
Starting playback
When you play music CDs, you can select the
track; when you play MP3/WMA files, you can
also select folders.
1 Press »eII« on the device or »eII OK« on the
remote control to start playback;
or
select the folder by pressing »G« or »H«,
and then select the track with »E« or »F«.
– Playback starts automatically.
– Display: number of folders and tracks, the
name of the track and the elapsed playing
time.
Note:

If no data medium is inserted/connected,
the message NO DISC «, » NO DEV « or » NO
SD « appears.
Pausing and resuming playback
1 Press »eII« on the device or »eII OK« on the
remote control to pause playback.
– Display: »II«, the playing time display flash-
es.
2 Press »eII« on the device or »eII OK« on the
remote control to resume playback.
Stopping playback (resume)
1 Press »
7
« on the device or »STEREO
7
« on
the remote control once to stop playback.
– If you resume playback, it continues from the
point at which it stopped.
