SET-UP AND SAFETY_ __________________________ 7 This device is designed for the playback of audio signals. Any other use is expressly prohibited. 7 Protect the device and the CDs from rain, moisture (dripping or splashing water), sand and heat. 7 Make sure there is adequate ventilation when positioning the device. There must be a free space of at least 10 cm behind the device. Do not place objects on the ventilation slots. Do not cover the device with newspapers, table cloths, curtains, etc.

OVERVIEW________________________________________ See the illustration on page 3. The top of the device ON/OFF Switches the device in and out of standby mode. SLEEP Sets the sleep timer; switches the sleep timer off. SNOOZE Interrupts the alarm function for 9 minutes. ALARM 1 Activates the setting for alarm time 1. ALARM 2 Activates the setting for alarm time 2. A Disc compartment Slot for inserting a disc. ― ― ― Opens and closes the disc compartment.
OVERVIEW________________________________________ w /PRESET + In MP3 mode: Press to select folders. In Radio mode: Select the next presets. PROG/MEMO In CD mode: To create a playlist. In Radio mode: Press, starts the automatic station search; press and hold down for saving radio stations on presets.
POWER SUPPLY_________________________________ Mains operation Check that the mains voltage on the type plate (on the bottom of the appliance) corresponds to your local mains supply. If this is not the case, contact your specialist dealer. 1 Plug the power cord into the wall socket (230V~, 50/60 Hz). Caution: 7 The device is connected to the mains with the power cord. Pull out the power plug when you want to completely disconnect the device from the mains.

CD/MP3 MODE__________________________________ The device is suitable for music CDs displaying the logo shown here (CD-DA) and for CD-Rs and CDRWs with audio data or MP3 and WMA formats. Always keep the CD compartment closed to prevent dust from collecting on the laser optics. Do not attach adhesive labels to CDs. Keep the surfaces of CDs clean. You can play standard 12 cm CDs In MP3 mode, the terms “album” and as well as 8 cm CDs on your device. “file” are very important.

The total number of folders appears briefly, then the title. CD/MP3 MODE__________________________________ Selecting folders and titles Repeating all the titles of (MP3 only) a folder (Repeat Folder, 1 During playback, select the folder MP3 only) with » q « or » w «. – Playback starts automatically with the first title of the selected folder. 2 In the current folder, select the title by pressing » « or » «. Notes: 7 You can also select folders and titles in the stop position. However, you must then start playback of the title with »eII«.
CD/MP3 MODE__________________________________ Playlist Repeating the playlist You can create a playlist of up to 20 titles for the current disc, in any order you choose and then play them back in that sequence. A title may be saved more than once. Programming is only possible in stop mode. 1 Press »MODE« once during playback. – Display: »PROG« and »REPEAT 1« flash. – The current title is played repeatedly; Creating the playlist 2 During playback, press »MODE« twice.
TIMER MODE_____________________________________ Alarm mode Alarm with radio station or CD (Alarm 1) 1 Switch the device to standby with »ON/OFF«. 2 Select the radio or CD input source with »FM CD«. 3 Press »ALARM 1« to activate alarm function. – Display: the alarm time flashes and »ALARM 1« is constant. – The device wakes you up at the set time with the radio station or CD with the volume previously set (alarm duration is 60 minutes).
TIMER MODE_____________________________________ Activating and deactivating the alarm 1 In standby mode, deactivate the alarm by briefly pressing »ALARM 1« or »ALARM 2«. – Display: »ALARM 1« or »ALARM 2« disappears. – The set alarm time is saved. 2 In standby mode, activate the alarm by briefly pressing »ALARM 1« or »ALARM 2«. Sleep timer The device has a sleep timer, which switches it off at a preset time. The switch off time can be set in a range between 90, 60, 30 and 15 minutes.
INFORMATION__________________________________ Cleaning the CD unit Technical data If the device is unable to scan CDs perfectly, use a standard, commercially available cleaning CD to clean the laser optics. Other cleaning methods may damage the laser optics. This device is noise-suppressed according to the applicable EU directives. This product fulfils the European directives 2004/108/ EC, 2006/95/EC, 2009/125/EC and 2011/65/EU.
