To change a fuse in this type of plug proceed as follows: • Remove fuse cover and fuse. • Fix new fuse which should be a BS1362 5 Amp, A.S.T.A. or BSI approved type. • Refit the fuse cover. If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted in its place.

M27 page 23 REMOTE CONTROL Inserting the batteries into the Remote Control • Insert the batteries (Type R03 or AAA) into the remote control transmitter as shown in the battery compartment. • To avoid damage from possible battery leakage, remove dead batteries or batteries that will not be used for a long time. For replacement use type R03 or AAA batteries. y – to switch the unit to standby mode.

M27 page 28 CASSETTE DECK Tape Playback GB 1 Press TAPE 1/2 (or TAPE 1 or TAPE 2 on the remote control) to select either TAPE 1 or TAPE 2. 2 Load the cassette into the desired cassette deck. 3 Press B (or PLAY 2 on the remote control) to start playback. 3a (For Tape 2 only.) Press SIDE (or SIDE on the remote control) to change the direction of the play mode. – The FRONT or BACK flag appears in the display, depending on the side selected. 3b (For Tape 2 only.
M27 page 29 CASSETTE DECK Dolby B Noise Reduction System Dubbing cassettes (from DECK 1 to DECK 2) 1 Load the pre-recorded cassette into TAPE DECK 1 and a blank cassette into TAPE DECK 2. – Make sure that both cassettes have their full spools to the left. 2 Press SIDE to select the front side of the tape in TAPE DECK 2. 3 Press DUBBING and then press Q or R for respective dubbing speed mode. – NORMAL (normal speed) or FAST (high speed) appears on the display.

M27 page 31 CD CHANGER Playing a Disc 1 Press B (or PLAY 2 on the remote control) to start playback. – The disc tray, track number and elapsed playing time of the current track appear on the display. • To interrupt play, press ; (or PAUSE ; on the remote control). – The playing time flashes. • To resume play, press B again (or PLAY 2 on the remote control). 2 To stop play, press 9 (or STOP 9 on the remote control). Note : All the available discs will play once, then stop.
M27 page 32 CD CHANGER Programming Tracks GB Programming tracks of a loaded CD is possible in the stop mode of the CD. The display will indicate the total tracks stored in the program. Up to 40 tracks can be stored in the memory in any order. When 40 tracks are stored and you attempt to store another track, the display will show “PROGRAM FULL”. 1 Load the desired discs in the disc trays. 2 Press PROGRAM to start programming. – The PROGRAM flag flashes on the display.

It can serve as an alarm to wake you up.
M27 page 34 MAINTENANCE SPECIFICATIONS Cleaning the Cabinet GB • Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use a solution containing alcohol, spirits, ammonia or abrasives. Cleaning Discs • When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out. • Do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner, commercially available cleaners, or anti-static spray intended for analog records.

If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service centre. WARNING : Under no circumstances should you try to repair the set yourself, as this would invalidate the guarantee. PROBLEM Radio Reception The STEREO indicator flashes. Severe hum or noise Cassette Deck Operation “CANNOT RECORD” is displayed.
