Top of the set:
ON/OFF – to switch the radio on and off
– to switch off the alarm tone (or radio) when alarm (or nap) function is activated
– to switch off the radio before the preset 'sleep' time has elapsed
11 / 22 – For setting the time (clock and alarm time).
– For setting the date and the year
ALARM 1/2 – Press briefly to display the alarm time
– Used with 11/22 to set the alarm time
WEC – To switch the WeekEnd Cancellation function on and off
RESET – To reset all settings to the initial state and to start receiving the DCF-77 radio
time signal.
TIME – used with 11/22 to set the time manually
– pressed when the unit is being reset to set the time displayed one hour earlier
than the DCF radio time signal.
SLEEP – to switch on the radio for max. 90 minutes
NAP – to set the nap timer which activates the alarm tone (buzzer) after a period of
max. 120 minutes
SNOOZE/ – to interrupt radio or buzzer alarm for approx. 5 minutes.
CALENDAR – Press once to display the date
– Press twice to display the year

Press once and hold to adjust the date using the 11/22 buttons.
– Press twice and hold to adjust the year using the 11/22 buttons.
– to switch off the radio before the preset 'sleep' time has elapsed
– press once to cancel the nap timer before the preset time has elapsed

1 6/ 2 6 – indicates that the alarm function
is activated for alarm times 1
and 2.
WEC 6 – Indicates that the WeekEnd

Sat...Fri 6 – Indicates the day of the week.
SUMMER TIME 6 – Indicates the Automatic Summer
Time function.
DCF SIGNAL – Indicates the DCF 77
1…7 6 signal strength.
TUNING DIAL 6 – Lights up when the radio
(or alarm) is on.

Preparations for use
The unit is designed to operate from a mains supply
of 230 V~, 50/60 Hz.
When the set is connected for the first time or after a
power failure (when the Super Capacitor has been
fully discharged
), the display flashes to indicate that the
clock and the alarm time (s) should be set.
Note: The unit remains connected to the mains
even when it is switched off.
The unit is only fully isolated from the mains if the
mains plug is removed from the wall socket.
Important note for users in the U.K.:
When fitting a mains plug, follow the instructions
on page 2.
