For all Guardrail Receiver, fasteners MUST be completely embedded in substrate, and MUST be those
provided by Guardian Fall Protection, or be deemed compatible with applicable Guardrail Receiver by a
Competent Person.
Guardrail Receiver MUST be installed flush against substrate, and must allow guardrail posts to be
positioned perpendicular to work surface.
Competent Person must ensure substrate is of sufficient strength and is compatible with applicable
Guardrail Receiver.

(4) Fasteners must be fully embedded into side wall.
• Fasteners for wood: ¼” x 2“ lag bolts.
• Fasteners for metal: ¼” x 2“ lag bolts.
• Fasteners for concrete: ¼” x 1¾” Hex Head Tapcon screws.

(5) Fasteners must be fully embedded into substrate.
• Fasteners for wood: 16d nails or #10 2” screws.
• Fasteners for metal: #10 2“ metal deck screws.
• Fasteners for concrete: 3/16” x 1¾” Hex Head Tapcon
screws.
Guardrail post rests flush against side wall when inserted
through Guardrail Receiver.

(2) 2” x 4” boards inserted vertically
in each Guardrail Receiver, and secured
on each side with compatible fastener.
Mid-rail installed level across posts,
and halfway between top edge of
guardrail system and work surface.
Top-rail installed 42” (+/- 3”)
above work surface.
Toeboard installed in applicable location of Guardrail Receiver.
(6) Fasteners must be fully embedded into substrate.
• Fasteners for wood: ¼” x 2“ lag bolts.
• Fasteners for metal: ¼” x 2“ lag bolts.
• Fasteners for concrete: ¼” x 1¾” Hex Head Tapcon screws.
