Warranty
The guarantee solely covers inadequacies caused by material
defect or manufacturing defect.
Original payment voucher with the sales date needs to be
submitted for any claim in the guarantee period.
The guarantee does not cover any unauthorised use such as
appliance overloading, use of violence, damage as a result of
any unauthorised interference or caused by foreign items.
Failing to follow the operating and assembly instructions and
common wear are also not included in the guarantee.
Important general safety instructions
Before you work with the product, please read the following
safety instructions and the operating manual carefully
through. If you hand over this product to other people, please
provide them also with the operating manual. Keep the
operating manual always safe!
Packing: Your product is located in a packing for the
protection against transport damage. Packings are raw
material and therefore can be recycled or be restored into the
raw material cycle.
Please read the user manual carefully through and follow the
instructions there. Familiarize yourself with the product, the
proper use as well as the safety instructions on the basis of
the user manual. Please keep these instructions safe for
future reference.
Do not operate the tool if you are tired or under effect of
alcohol or drugs.
When not in use, the unit should be stored indoors in a
dry place – out of reach of children.
Keep the unit clean and sharp for best and safe
performance. Check the cable at regular intervals and if
damaged, have it replaced by a recognised professional.
Check the extension cable regularly and replace it, if
damaged. Use only approved and properly marked
extension cables for the work outdoors.
Any relevant regulations of accident prevention and other
generally recognised safety technical rules should be
observed.
Unplug the unit prior to any adjustment and maintenance.
Upon completion of a repair or maintenance, any
protection and safety devices should be re-installed
immediately.
Any damaged or defective protection devices should be
replaced immediately.
Only professionals are allowed to do electric installations,
repairs and maintenance. .
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. They can be
caught in moving chain. Wear protective hair covering to
contain long hair. Wear a dust mask when working in
dusty environment. .
Do not pull the cable to unplug the unit. Protect the cable
from excessive temperatures, oil and sharp edges. .
Wear heavy duty protective gloves, safety should with
steel lining and anti-skid soles.
Do not switch on the product, if it is turned upside down
or if it is not in the operating position.
Keep the product away from other people, especially from
children and also pets.
Work only with sufficient lighting conditions.
If the work should be interrupted, please store the product
at a safe place.
Never use the product in wet or moist conditions or if it
rains.
All parts on the product must be checked regularly for
sign of a damage or aging. The product may not be used,
if its condition is not intact.
Use only original spare parts for the maintenance.
Before putting the machine into operation and after
impact of any kind, check it for sign of wear or damage
and arrange repairs if necessary.
Never use spare parts and accessories, which are not
specified or recommended by the manufacturer.
Make sure that no other objects may cause any short-
circuit on the contacts of the product.
People, who are not capable to use the product due
to their physical, sensory or mental ability or their
inexperience or lack of knowledge may not use this
product.
If the product has any obvious damages, then it may
not be put into operation.
Severe dangers may arise through improper repairs.
The same requirements also apply to the spart parts.
Güde GmbH & Co. KG will assume no liability for damages
due to the following root causes:
Damages on the product through mechanical
impacts and excess voltages.
Changes on the product.
Use for purposes other than those described in the
manual.
Pay close attention to all safety instructions in
order to avoid injuries and damages.
Important product-specific safety instructions
Before getting down to work with the pruner, a flat and
non-skid workplace providing for sufficient room and
freedom of movement.
When leaving the site, switch off and unplug the pole
pruner.
Remove any waste wood and objects that are not needed
any more from the site.
Do not cut in the proximity of flammable liquids or gases.
Defective chains should be replaced immediately.
The pruner is intended for wood cutting only. Do not use it
for other purposes. Do not use it to cut objects other than
wooden. Use only the extension cables marked for the
use outdoors.
Do not use the pole pruner if the pole or the blade are
damaged, wrong sized, not completely or not safely
assembled or if the start does not go on and off. The
chain should stop if the starter is tripped. Have defective
switches replaced in an authorised servicing centre.
Pruning should be tried/trained on wood cutting rack
Do not use the pole pruner in windy weather or in a
storm.
Watch out for falling prunes and limbs. Check the tree
before pruning. Make space for the branches.
Do not use the pruner to cut annual shoots and shrubs.
Do not stand on a ladder or another unstable aid when
using the pruner Use both your hands when working with
the pruner Force the tool in a firm sustained manner. Do
not use the pruner to cut the branches, diameter of which
is bigger than that of the guide bar.
The others should be kept out of reach of the pruner
cutting end – and at a safe distance from the workplace
The pole pruner is not insulated!Do not use the pruner in
proximity of cable, electric or telephone lines. In result of
a voltage peak, the operator may get exposed to a fatal
risk! Always stand off at a distance of 10 meters from any
electric line. Observe the local regulations.
Never stand directly under the branch that is being cut.
Always stand away from the falling branches path.
