Residual risks
Danger of injury !
Caution: There may still be some residual risks when
operating the machine despite complying with all
applicable design regulations.
• Risk of injury to ngers and hands. Never put
your hands in the saw blade area.
• Parts of workpieces and tools y o from dama-
ged tools: Wear eye protectors!
• Noise emission: It is necessary to wear ear
protectors!
• Wood dust emission: Wear a respirator!
• Risk prevention - mechanical equipment: All
dangerous moving parts (e.g. saw blade) are wrap-
ped with xed, safely attached safety equipment,
removable with a tool only. Residual risk: Risk of
injury if the xed, safely attached safety equipment
is removed from a running machine with a tool.
• Risk prevention - electrical equipment: All
conductive parts of the machine are insulated
against contact or wrapped with xed, safely
attached safety equipment, removable with a tool
only. Residual risk: Risk of electric shock if the xed,
safely attached cover removed from a running and
plugged machine.
• Risk prevention - wooden dust: The circular saw
may only be used outdoors. Residual risk: If the
circular saw is used in enclosed places, health can be
damaged as a result of inhaling wooden dust.
There may still be some hidden residual risks despite
all the preventive measures taken.
Residual risks may be minimised by following the
safety instructions and use as designated provisions
and the Operating Instructions.
The exposure to dust is in uenced by the type of
the material processed. It is important to use local
exhaust (catching near the source) and adjust well
the exhaust covers, guide elements and the grab
channels.
Dust produced during work is often harmful and must
not get in your body. Use the exhauster and wear an
appropriate respirator, too. Remove thoroughly any
deposited dust, e.g. by vacuuming.
Use saw blades designed to reduce emitted noise.
Keep the machine and saw blade running.
To minimise noise production, the tool must be
sharpened and all elements for noise minimisation
(covers, etc.) must be properly adjusted.
Emergency procedure
Conduct a rst-aid procedure adequate to the injury
and summon quali ed medical attendance as quickly
as possible. Protect the injured person from further
harm and calm them down. For the sake of eventual
accident, inaccordance with DIN13164, a workplace
has to be ttedwith a rst-aid kit.
It isessential to replace any usedmaterial in the rst-
aid kitimmediately after it has been used. If you seek
help,state the following pieces ofinformation:
1. Accident site
2. Accident type
3. Number of injured persons
4. Injury type(s)
