Operation Manual

Never adjust the height of wheels when the engine is
running.
The grass catching device may lose its functioning any
throw away items due to wear or damage. Regularly
check the mower parts and, if necessary, replace them
with spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
The mower knife is very sharp. Risk of injury! Be
especially careful at knife maintaining, wear protective
gloves or cover the knife-edges.
Do not change the basic engine adjustment and avoid
its overloading.
Be especially watchful when turning the mower or
pulling it towards your body.
If it is necessary to incline or lift the mower to pass a
surface other than grass or when carrying the mower to
or from the area to be cut then cut off the knife.
Release the knives and engine clutches before
switching on.
Start the engine in accordance with the operating
instructions and make sure your legs are in safe
distance from the knife.
Do not incline the mower at starting except for cases
when it is necessary. Do not incline the mower more
than necessary in such a case and always lift the part
reversed from you.
Do not start the engine when standing in front of the
ejection outlet.
Never lift and transfer the mower with engine running.
Lower the brake adjustment when the engine is off. If
the engine is equipped with a stop valve then close the
petrol supply after cutting.
Move slowly if using an auxiliary trail seat.
ASSEMBLY / PREPARATION
All assembly and/or maintenance works may be
performed only when the motor is turned off!
Please read the entire operating instructions before
assembling or starting your new mower.
IMPORTANT: The mower is supplied without oil and
petrol.
Lawn mower unpacking
Take the lawn mower out of board and make sure there are
any free parts left in the package.
Assembly - handle
IMPORTANT: Carefully assemble the handle so that cables did
not get tangled or damaged.
Assemble the handle according to pictures 3 to 7 and use the
assemble elements from picture 2 to this purpose.
Fixing – collecting bag
IMPORTANT: The collecting bag must fit in and be secured
with a safety loop on the middle part of the sliding handle.
Refuelling
Refuel in mixing ratio of 40:1 for two-stroke engines. Please
use only high-quality fuel for two-stroke engines.
Cartridge replacement
You can choose from three various cartridges:
pic. 3 pos. 4 = spindle cutting mechanism
pic. 3 pos. 5 = aerator cartridge
pic. 3 pos. 6 = ventilator cartridge
The appliance needs to be turned upside down before
cartridge replacement (pic. 8)
Cartridges are inserted in appliance fixtures (pic. 10 pos. A
and B) by pressing the fixing casings (pic. 9). Fixing screws
(pic. 10 pos. D) must safely fit in the fixtures
(pic. 10 pos. C). See pic. 11.
Height adjustment
The axle needs to be adjusted for setting the working height.
To this purpose, put both axle ends to an identical screening
position by pulling and snapping. See pic. 13
Maintenance instructions
Air filter (pic. 14 pos. a)
Make sure the air filter insert is always clean – clean it with
benzine if necessary.
Distance of spark plugs
The spark plug must be 0.7-0.8 mm from the electrode (pic.
15)
Use original spark plugs!
Operation
The lawn mower is automatically driven and needs to be lifted
in the front part by smooth pressing of the sliding handle when
reversing and being converted.
Watch for thrown-away parts of the work insertion!
Storing
It is recommended to screw the spark plug out and add two oil
drops in a two-stroke engine cylinder at longer storing to
prevent cylinder and piston corrosion (pic. 16).
General instructions for spindle cutting
Cut grass whose maximum height corresponds to half
diameter of the spindle. If for example the spindle diameter
is 16 cm the grass height should be max. 8 cm – or less
would be best.
Spindle cutting needs to take place at least once a week and
more often in the growth time. Early in the morning and when
dew is still present is the right time for spindle cutting. The
grass cut height needs to be slowly reduced after conversion
from sickle cutting to spindle cutting so that grass blades had
time to adapt. The cut grass should immediately be removed
from the grass plot. If it is left in lumps or a too thick layer the
grass can get sick. Removing prevents from these diseases.
The ideal cutting height for the spindle mower is 1.5 cm.
ATTENTION: There must be no hard items (stones, etc.)
on the surface!
Foreign items can damage the cutting spindle!
(paid service)
General instructions for loosening and aerating
Time and work steps:
You can either aerate or loosen depending on the moss layer
thickness. The best time for loosening and aerating is spring.
However, the soil must not be too wet and the grass should
constantly and regularly grow well and be dry. Loosening can
take place even after second or third grass cutting.
Cut the grass shortly one more time if necessary and remove
it. An aerator is used strip by strip, not overlapping each other
much. The material is collected and removed again. An
aerator is used again – however, crosswise to the first
passage this time. The waste is removed from the grass plot.
ATTENTION! First try as low working depth as possible!
Maximum loosening depth –15 mm
Maximum aerating depth–10mm
Starting
1. Press the primary pump 3-5 times so that the fuel gets in the
carburettor (when the engine is cold only) (pic. 17)
2. Close the starting valve (pic. 19 pos. 0)
3. Press the operational lever to the sliding handle (pic. 12
pos. I)
4. Shift the gas lever slightly forward (pic. 20) and evenly pull
the starter cable until the engine starts. Always let the
starter cable slowly slide back to prevent damage to the
reverse starter (pic. 21).
5. The engine should run smoothly after some time. The
starting valve can be opened again (pic. 18). Put the gas
lever to the desired position of revolutions and start
working.
ATTENTION
The mower moves forward quicker each time the gas is turned
up!
