33 Correlation

Prepare logger for correlation (record sound signal): Program logger for recording of sound signal at the
desiredrecordingtime.Therecordingofsoundsignalsallowscorrelationinordertolocatethenoisesource
(especially leaks). Correlation is only possible, when two loggers re
cord the sound signal at the same
programmed recording time. As frequent recording and transferring of the sound signal reduces battery
lifetime,thisoptionshouldonlybeusedwhenneeded.

preparedtore

Create report: If selected, a text file containing a short report of the last synchronization process will be
created.

35 Synchronization
Pressing the Start button will start the synchronization process. According to the selected order of
synchronization,theSystemCommunicationLinkwillsearchforthenextreachableloggerorthenextlogger
oftheloggerlist.Oncealoggerisrecognized,datawillbetransferredfromandtotheloggerasspecifiedby
thesynchronization op
tions. Success and failure messagesas well as warning messageswill be displayed in
thestatuspaneloftheMainWindow.Ifaudiooutputisswitchedon,therewillalsobeaudiomessages.After
