PleasecheckwhetherOrderofSynchronizationoptionisadaptedtothetransmissionsituation.Synchronize
onlyreachableloggerswon'tworkproperlywithtoomanyloggersandSynchronizeaccordingtologgerlist
won't work properly with deployedloggers. In case synchronization of asingle logger is desired please use
theSy
nchronizecommandfromtheLoggerStatewindow.
Soundsignalisrecordedonlyonce(thenexttimetheloggerclockcoincideswiththeprogrammedrecording
time).Thisisbecausesoundrecordingneedsalargeamountofmemoryspace,thusnotallowingmorethan
onerecording.
The shorter th
e time between logger programming and receiving the recorded sound signal the more
accurate the results. As a rule of thumb sound recordings should be transferred to the PC 24 hours after
loggerprogrammingatthelatest.Thisisonlyimportantforsoundrecordingsbecauseofthestronginfluence
ofclockac
curacyontheresults.Amplitudedistributionmeasurementsandleakvaluesarenotinfluencedby
clockaccuracy.Theloggercanstoreamplitudemeasurementsupto10daysandleakvaluesupto180days
withoutlosinganydata.
If the synchronization process includes programming or receiving of sound recordings, it is very important
thatthesynchronizationpro
cesswon'tbeinterrupteduntilallloggerswillbesynchronized.Synchronization
processisinterruptedbypressingtheSynchronizebuttonagain,bydisconnectingtheCommLink,byexiting
theprogramorswitchingoffthePC.Interruptionofthesynchronizationprocesswillcauseaswitchoffofthe
CommLink,thuslosingclo
cksynchronization.However,subsequentcorrelationoftherecordedsoundsignal
is only possible with proper clock synchronization of the corresponding loggers! Interruption of
synchronizationdoesn'taffectleakvaluesandamplitudedistributions.
