NEOPULSE 270-T1 / 270-T2 / 300

There are 3 ways to adjust the welding parameters:
- wire speed:
- metal thickness:
- welding current :
: shows the theoretical welding current
: allows adjustment of the arc length
: The smoothing coil enables the arc strength to be adjusted by
modifying the pulse on standard welding or the pulse frequency on
pulsed welding.
At the end of the weld, a peak of current is used cut the wire and to ensure a clean re-arc. This peak of cur-
rent can be a problem on thin metal, in this case the « burn-back » option can be selected to nish the wire
with a more traditional 'ball' and will limit the energy supplied at the end of the weld in order to preserve
the welding bead.
PLS & PIP mode
The icon allows you to enter the welding process menu and modify the settings of each stage (pre-gas, hot-
start, Upslope, downslope, burn-back, post-gas). This menu is only available with the PRO interface. (see « setup
menu», last page).
Pulse (PLS)
GAS PRE-FLOW : pre-gas time before welding.
CREEP_SPEED : reducing coefcient of the approach speed
(Reduce for thick sheets, e.g.
50% . Do not change for thin metal sheets, e.g. : 100%).
Overcurrent, useful with aluminium (eases the arc strike) to preheat the metal piece (>
100%) or useful with steel during the approach phase (< 100%), can also improve the arc’s
ignition.
T Hot start : preheating phase time in 2T mode. For the 4T mode, enter another value
than 0 to activate it.
Delta U Hotstart : acts on the arc length during preheating phase.
Upslope time.
Delta U Upslope : acts on the arc length during upslope phase.
Downslope : downslope time.
Delta U Downslope : acts on the arc length during downslope.
I Crater Filler : only active in 4T, can set the current level to prevent pinholes at the end
of the weld.
Delta U Crater ller : acts on the arc length during pinhole lling phase.
Post gas ow duration.
Pulse in Pulse (PIP) or double
pulse
Same settings in Pulse mode (PLS). See previous paragraph for more details. There are extra
phases specic to the PIP (Pulse In Pulse) mode :
I cold : current proportion for the background current phase.
Delta U Cold : acts on the arc length during the cold phase.
THigh : current proportion for the welding current (main/hot phase).
TPulse : phase duration.
Can also adjust the pulse frequency on the welding curve (using the control panel).
