Rail Removal for 30Gb or 40Gb iPod® SV-iP4G for 4TH Generation iPod® with Click Wheel - Leave rails in place for the 20Gb iPod® - Remove rails for the 40Gb iPod® SV-iP3G for 3RD Generation iPod® with Touch Wheel - Leave rails in place for the 10Gb/15Gb/20Gb iPod - Remove rails for the 30Gb and 40Gb iPod® Step 1: Use a small Phillips screwdriver in a counterclockwise direction to remove the three (3) screws from the rail. Be very careful not to damage the T-seal with the screwdriver.
