Safety instructions Read this instruction manual in its entirety before you start operating the unit. Especially read through any information regarding the battery and recharging process to prevent damage to the accumulators. The equipment should only be used bytrained operators. The installation of the working area has to correspond to the relevant regulations. Set up the unit in such a way, that the air slits are not blocked and the extracted air can escape well.
Safety instructions When working with materials, which might create dust or moisture, use a drilling unit with suction or spray technique. Wear a nose and mouth protection. Always follow the safety instructions, provided by the manufacturer of the materials being formed and used. For safety reasons wear goggles during the treatment. Ensure that the patient’s foot and the handpiece are held firmly in place during the operation.
Safety instructions Before using the equipment, assure that: the tool can be pushed far enough into the chuck (Test this with a dipstick and clean the handpiece, if necessary) the inserted tool sits properly in the chuck and will not cant/jam while clamping it the tool is approved for using it at the max speed (see manufacturer´s instructions), or only use the speed required by the instrument the tool is absolutely dry For safety reasons do not change the tool while the motor is running.
Safety instructions Regularly check the mechanical safety of the unit (look for damages to the housing or mains cable for example). Always follow the operating instructions. Do not carry out any repairs, modifications or maintenance work yourself. This is only to be accomplished by an authorized specialist. The mains cable may also only be changed by the manufacturer, or an authorized specialist.
Safety instructions Damaged Accumulators: A damaged accumulator can be identified by: damaged or deformed housing of the accumulator tarnished spots on the metal parts of the batteries melting points heating accumulators when the unit is switched off leaking of the batteries The unit is never to be used with damaged accumulators. A damaged accumulator or a unit with damaged accumulators is to be stored in a non-burning, nonconducting (electricity) vessel.
Safety instructions Attention: Important Notice Regarding the Transport of this Unit. For transport and shipping of the unit you have to make sure that the transport safety device at the side of the unit is switched off. This is very important, since it will prevent an accidental activation of the unit during transport.
Safety instructions Cleaning and disinfection After every treatment please carry out the following steps: Remove the rotating tool (e.g. bur, capper, etc.) first. Then handle the cleaning of the tool according to the instructions of it`s manufacturer. Remove tissue remains by wiping off the unit with a mildly moistened paper cloth. Afterwards clean all surfaces with disinfection cloth (e.g. Mikrozid AF Tücher of Schülke and Mayr). The charging unit is only to be cleaned with a dry cloth.

Before the use Please read through the instructions carefully before using the unit and carefully note the safety advice. Always keep this manual accessible to any users of the drill. Area of application The control unit can be set up in a cabinet, or can be used as a portable unit (e.g. in a carry case). It is suitable for the following scopes: Footcare/Manicure: Milling, trimming and polishing. (Attention: Additional spray or suction might have to be in operation during foot care in your country).
Before the use Fully charge the unit before its first use. Read the instructions in the following chapter on how to proceed. Before first use Before the first start you have to turn the main switch from 0 to 1 with a coin or a screwdriver. Because of safety reasons you have to turn the transport safety switch from 1 to 0 for longer transportations and shipment. This switch interrupts the accu from the control unit.
Maintenance & Care charging time should take approx. 2 hours. Accumulators The unit is powered by high quality Lithium Iron Phosphate accumulators. These accumulators have a long life span and are very safe. Thermal runaway is not possible with these accumulators. Working with the unit is possible during the charging process, but the charging of the unit will take longer time then.
Maintenance & Care Change accumulators The plug has to be removed from the connected charging unit. Switch the unit off, and make sure that the handpiece is secured in a way, where it cannot cause damage or injury in case of an unintended start of the drill. Unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom of the unit, and then remove the unit’s upper housing. Now remove the accumulators and carefully unplug it from the electronic board. Insert the new accumulators and connect them to the electronic board.
Maintenance & Care Set the tool 5300 on the axle and hold it tight. Now use the front of tool 5343 to unscrew the chuck. Cleaning the chuck Because of the additional protection washer (see right), not much dirt is usually entering the handpiece. In the process of time, some dirt might collect itself within the handpiece, and might affect its functions. Therefore the chuck has to be cleaned monthly. To assemble the chuck, follow the steps in reverse order.
Handling details Never put the handpiece into any kind of liquid, and never oil or grease the handpiece. Clean its surface with a damped cloth. Pay attention, that no moisture or liquid enters the handpiece. flawless. Do not work with tools which - are bent or out of balance, - whose shaft is worn out or - are rusty. Working with faulty tools will cause a stronger vibration of the handpiece. A damage or even devastation of the ball bearings, clamping technique or motor could be the consequence.
Troubleshooting Handpiece vibrates, is very noisy and/ or becomes warm in the front part Use of bent burs/ tools Use a different bur/ tool to test this. The bur/tool itself can be tested with the hadewe Bur Shaft Tester (Art. No. 4990) to see, if it is bent. The unit has no function at all Press the reset switch located under the unit. The unit should now be fully functional again. Maximum allowed speed of the tool was exceeded, which caused a stronger vibration pay attention to the tool (e.g.
Troubleshooting millisecond to check the voltage and initiate the warning signal in case of a deep discharge (accumulators being completely empty) being imminent. This switching on is accompanied by a silent clicking noise from the transistor.
