INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
IMPORTANT
READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
ProLED luminaires must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. Proper grounding is required for safety.
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN WHO IS
FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.
WARNING - Risk of re or electric shock. ProLED Downlight Retrot Series installation requires knowledge of the luminaires’ electrical systems. If not
qualied, DO NOT attempt installation. Contact a qualied electrician.

This product is warranted for 5 years from the date of purchase. If this product does not perform to the specications supplied on this package, send

1. TURN OFF THE POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER PRIOR
TO INSTALLATION. Remove the diffuser and existing bulb if
necessary. Remove the existing trim.
2. As shown in Fig 1, twist the lamp base into the lamp holder.
3. As shown in Fig 2, connect the quick disconnect between the
retrot kit and the medium base umbilical socket.
4. As shown in Fig 3, position the torsion springs into the metal
mounting clips on the inside of the housing. Adjust for a 5"
can size by loosening screws on torsion bracket and slide
brackets inward. Tighten screws (Fig 4).
NOTE: For recess cans that do not use torsion springs,
replace the torsion springs with spring clips shown in Fig 5.
CAUTION: To prevent cuts from sharp edges, put on gloves
when installing the spring clips.
See Fig 4. Remove torsion spring brackets by removing (2)
screws and replace with spring clips (Fig 5), then replace
(2) screws and tighten securely. Fig 6 shows spring clips
installed.
5. Push the LED retrot trim into the recessed light housing,
allowing the torsion springs to pull the LED trim up into the
recessed light housing. Continue to push the LED trim until its
outer edge is ush with the ceiling surface.
