6" Surface Downlight Installation Instructions

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

6" DOWNLIGHT HOUSING (CAN) (MIN. LAMP COMPARTMENT DIMENSIONS 6"(DIA) x 7.4"(H) for 6 inch):

1. Screw installation harness with socket adapter into downlight housing (can) (see g#1).

2. Connect ground wire to the housing (see g #2).

3. Connect the orange male connector (installation harness)to the orange female connector (surface downlight) (see g#3).

4. The springs attached to the xture may now be squeezed and inserted between the tabs located inside the can (see g#4). *For cans that require a

housing adaptor please follow manufacturer’s installation guide, then proceed with step #5.

5. After the springs are attached, push the surface downlight into the can (see g#5).

6. Downlight should be ush with the ceiling (see g#6).

ProLED luminaires must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. Proper grounding is required for safety.

THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN WHO IS

FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.

WARNING - Risk of re or electric shock. ProLED Surface Downlight Series installation requires knowledge of the luminaire’s electrical systems. If not

qualied, DO NOT attempt installation. Contact a qualied electrician.

WARNING - Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings. DO

NOT make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.

WARNING - To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, DO NOT expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.

WARNING - DO NOT alter, relocate, or remove wiring, lampholders, power supply, or any other electrical component.

WARNING - This device is not intended for use with emergency exits.

WARRANTY INFORMATION:

This product is warranted for 5 years from the date of purchase. If this product does not perform to the specications supplied on this package, send

an email or write to the address below for product return and replacement. This replacement is the sole remedy available. Liability for incidental or
