The toaster oven will remember the last temperature and time settings that are made within five minutes after the preheat light goes out. In the event of a power outage or the unit is unplugged, the toaster oven will default to the preset settings. Toast 1. Place oven rack in the top rack groove. Place bread centered on oven rack. 2. Press the Toast button. 3. Use the Up and Down arrows to select the desired toast shade.
