Caution: Read instructions carefully and turn electricity off at main circuit breaker panel before beginning installation.
Warning: If any special control devices are used with this xture, follow the instructions carefully to assure full compli-
ance with N.E.C. requirements. If there are any questions, contact a licensed qualied electrical contractor.
1. Remove the fan switch cup from the fan assembly by removing the four mounting screws and unplugging the
molded adaptor connector.
2. Remove the decorative bottom cover from the switch cup by rst removing the lock nut from the threaded tube of
the decorative bottom cover from inside the switch cup (an open end wrench is required); then unscrew the decora-
tive bottom cover from the switch cup.
3. Insert the light kit wires through the center hole of the switch cup and thread the stem of the light kit into the switch
cup. Secure the light kit to the switch cup by tightening lock washer and nut provided.
4. Locate the blue and white wires inside the switch cup for the light kit connection. Connect the blue wire from the
switch cup to the black wire from the light kit and the white wire from the switch cup to the white wire from the light
kit. Re-connect adaptor connector unplugged in step 1.
5. Re-attach the switch cup to the black plate of the fan assembly by aligning the screw holes at the black plate of the
fan with the screw holes of the switch cup and secure with the four screws removed in step 1.
6. With the power off, install one uorescent bulb (Max. 23W, supplied) by screwing into the light bulb sockets.
7. Attach glass shade to the light kit by threading it clockwise until it stops. Make sure it is well secured.
8. Attach the pull chain to the light kit.
9. Suitable for use in wet locations.
CAUTION: All glass is fragile, use care when handling glass shade and lamp.
CAUTION: Allow the bulb and glass shade to cool completely before touching or replacing to avoid accidental burning
of the skin.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of re and electric shock, this light kit should be used only with the following fan model
48-LG (SKU# 705 544) manufactured by Chienluen Industries (Zhongshan) Ltd.
