GENERAL
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE POWER IS TURNED OFF AT THE ELECTRICAL PANEL
OR THE FUSE BOX BEFORE BEGINNING YOUR INSTALLATION. TURNING POWER
OFF AT WALL SWITCH IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
1. Be sure to read these installation instructions and review the diagrams thoroughly before
installing the converter.
2. All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes and the National
Electrical Code. If you are unfamiliar with methods of installing electrical wiring, secure
the services of a qualified licensed electrician.
3. Before starting the installation, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or
by removing the appropriate Fuse at the fuse box. Turning the power off using the light
switch is not sufficient to prevent electrical shock.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove the recessed lighting fixture trim.
2. Thread toggle bolts approximately through the cover plate.
3. Thread the toggle bolts through the spring loaded toggle wings approximately ¼ in.
4. Before installing the converter, make sure that bracket clips on either side of the recessed
fixture can are bent upward at a 45 degree angle. See diagram 2.
5. Screw the adaptor plug into the lamp socket inside the recessed fixture (See diagram 2).
6. Secure the converter by tightening the screws so that the toggle bolts are engaged to the
bracket clips (See diagram 3). Apply downward pressure on the converter plate to hold
toggles in place while tightening the screws.
