Attaching the mounting plate to
the outlet box

Connecting the electrical wires
□ Place the mounting plate (AA) in front of the outlet
box (sold separately). Make sure the two horizontal
edges of the mounting plate (AA) are on the right side
and the left side.
□ Ensure the wires from the outlet box are either inside
the outlet box, or through the hole in the center of the
mounting plate (AA).
□ Use a Philips screwdriver to screw the outlet box
screws (CC) into the appropriate screw holes on the
outlet box.
□ Wrap the ground wire from the fixture around
the ground screw (BB) on the mounting plate
(AA). Use a wire connector (EE) to connect the
end of the ground wire from the fixture to the
ground wire from the outlet box.
□ Use a wire connector (EE) to connect the white
wire from the fixture to the white wire (neutral
wire) from the outlet box.
□ Use a wire connector (EE) to connect the black
wire from the fixture to the black wire (live wire)
from the outlet box.
□ Wrap the three wire connections with electrical
tape for a more secure connection.
□ Position the wires back inside the outlet box.
