Parts Needed
• Fuselage
• Engine
• Engine mounting bracket (2)
• Engine mounting screws, nuts, and washers (4 each)
Tools and Adhesives Needed
• Phillips screwdriver
• Blue Locktite A-42
Step 1. Remove the two engine mounting brackets, four
4 x 20 mm screws, four washers, and four 4 mm nuts from the
hardware package.
Step 2. Position the engine on the motor mount. Then
place one engine mounting bracket across each of the engine
mounting beams as shown below.
Note: The dimpled side of the engine-mounting bracket
is the bottom. As such, the smooth side should face upward.
Step 3. Insert one 4 x 20mm screw and washer into each of the
engine mounting bracket holes. Note these are designed so the
nuts at the bottom fit into place. Press one of the 4 mm nuts into
the corresponding receptacle on the bottom of the motor mount.
Do not use Blue Locktite A-42 on the screws yet, as you will
need to make minor adjustments to the motor position when you
are measuring and mounting the cowling. It may be necessary to
mount, then remove the muffler as you make trial fittings of the
cowl. The spinner will be mounted after the cowling is in place.
