Step 5. Use radio-packing foam (available at your local hobby
shop) when you install the receiver and battery pack. There is
ample room for the receiver and battery in the forward part of
the fuselage, in the area above and behind the fuel tank. Wrap
the battery and receiver securely in foam and install them into
the fuselage. We suggest mounting the receiver on top of the
battery pack using a rubber band to hold in place. Refer to the
photos below.
Step 6. Route the antennae back through the fuselage using
an antenna tube (not included), or route it out the side of the
fuselage, back toward the tail. Install the switch to the bottom of
side of the plywood servo tray (a notch has been cut for you) and
use a Du-Bro On/Off switch rod to activate the switch through
the fuselage side on a piece of music wire as shown below.
Another option is to mount the switch to the fuselage side. You
may need to use a piece of scrap wood to mount the switch and
then mount to side of the fuselage. Be sure to mount away from
the muffler.
