REMOVING WRINKLES AILERON INSTALLATION The covering of your model may develop wrinkles during shipping. Use a covering iron (HAN101) with a sealing iron sock (HAN141) to remove them. Start with a lower heat setting and use caution while working around areas where the colors overlap to prevent separating the colors. It is also advised to use caution around the clear windows and wing tips as these items are plastic and could distort with excessive heat.
. Apply epoxy in each of the hinge pockets in the aileron. 11. Fit the aileron to the wing. Use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol to remove any excess epoxy. 7. Fit the hinges into the aileron. Check the alignment of each hinge. 12. Use low-tack tape to hold the aileron in position until the epoxy fully cures. Allow the epoxy to cure before proceeding. The remaining aileron hinges can be glued at this time. 8. 9. Remove any excess epoxy using a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol.
16. Secure the control horn using the control horn backplate and an M3 x 14 socket head cap screw. Use a 2.5mm hex wrench to tighten the screw. 21. Place 2-3 drops of thin CA in each of the holes to harden the surrounding wood. Allow the CA to fully cure before proceeding. Do not overtighten the screw and damage the underlying structure. 17. Install the rubber grommets and eyelets in the aileron servos. Use the instructions included with the servo for correct installation. 22.
26. Secure a 9-inch (230mm) to the servo lead using a safety connector. 31. Remove the tape from the wing and aileron. Secure one of the rod ends to the outer hole of the control horn using a #2 Phillips screwdriver and an M3 x 10 machine screw. Use a 6-inch (150mm) extension for the bottom wing servo. 27. Route the extension through the wing and out the wing root. 32. Attach the remaining rod end to the servo arm using an M3 x 10 machine screw, M3 washer and M3 lock nut.
35. Place low-tack tape around the slot. This will help prevent epoxy from getting on the fuselage when gluing the stabilizer in the slot. 40. Measure back from the rear edge of the canopy opening to the tips of the stabilizer on the left and right sides of the fuselage. Position the stabilizer so the right and left measurements are the same. Use T-pins to keep the stabilizer from moving in the slot. 36. Slide the retaining pins forward on the canopy hatch. 41.
45. Slide the stabilizer back into the slot in the fuselage. Stand 8-10 feet (2-3 meters) and check that the stabilizer is parallel to the wing tube. If not, remove the stabilizer and lightly sand the slot in the fuselage until the stabilizer is aligned perfectly to the wing tube. 50. Mount the remote receiver(s) in the fuselage. 58. Snap an aluminum ball into the plastic rod end, then thread the rod end 14 turns on the pushrod. Secure the rod end to the outer hole of the rudder control horn using a #2 Phillips screwdriver and an M3 x 10 machine screw. RUDDER AND SERVO LINKAGE INSTALLATION 53. Install the hinges in the rudder using 30-minute epoxy. Use the techniques outlined in the section for the aileron hinges. 54. Secure the rudder to the fin. Use low-tack tape to hold the rudder in position until the epoxy fully cures. 59.
TAIL WHEEL INSTALLATION ELEVATOR AND SERVO LINKAGE INSTALLATION 63. Place the tiller arm on the bottom of the rudder. Use a felttipped pen to mark the locations for the mounting screws on the rudder. Use a drill and 1.5mm drill bit to drill the two holes for the tiller mounting screws. 68. Install the hinges in the elevator using 30-minute epoxy. Use the techniques outlined in the section for the aileron hinges. Secure the elevators to the stabilizer.
72. Position the elevator servo in the tray with the output facing the rear of the fuselage. Mark the locations for the mounting screws on the tray. Remove the servo and use a drill and 1.5mm drill bit to drill the locations for the mounting screws Thread the mounting screws into the holes in the radio tray. Remove the screws before proceeding Apply 2-3 drops of thin CA in each hole. Allow the CA to fully cure before proceeding Secure the servo using the screws provided with the servo. 77.
86. Check that the wheel can rotate freely without binding on the wheel collars or wheel pant. Adjust the wheel collars until the wheel can rotate freely on the axle. LANDING GEAR INSTALLATION 81. Use two 1/2-inch wrenches to attach the axle to the landing gear 82. Remove the wheel collars and use a flat file to make a flat area along the bottom of the axle. The setscrews from the wheel collars will be tightened onto this flat area. 87.
90. The landing gear cover can be installed on the bottom of the fuselage using contact adhesive or clear tape. 95. Remove the hatch from the top wing center section using a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Set the two screws and cover aside. 91. Check that the landing gear fairings do not rub against the fuselage. Adjust their position if necessary. 96. Use a hobby knife with a #11 blade to remove the covering for the servo leads and mounting screws in the underside of the top wing center section.
100. Attach the interplane strut mounting tabs to the bottom of the top wing using M4 x 10 button head screws. Leave the screws loose so the tabs can be positioned correctly. 105. Secure the wing panel using two 1/4-20 x 1 inch nylon wing mounting bolts. Connect the servo lead from the wing to the extension. Always install all the nylon bolts to secure the wing panels. 106. Fit the interplane struts to the tabs. Use the strut mounting pins to help hold the strut in place.
109. Secure the interplane strut mounting pins using the clips provided. 114. Layer the mounts and use low-tack tape to hold them together until the epoxy fully cures. Make sure all the holes are aligned. 110. Once all the pins have been secured, tighten the M4 x 10 button head screws using a 2.5mm hex wrench. Remember to apply a drop of thread lock on each screw to prevent it from vibrating loose. 115. Remove the forward compartment cover from the fuselage using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
118. Attach the mount to the motor using the screws provided with the motor. 123. Slide the forward hatch back into position. Skip to the section “Cowling Installation.” For additional details, refer to the instructions provided with the motor. 119. Attach the motor to the motor mount using four aluminum standoffs, four M5 x 60 socket head cap screws, four M5 blind nuts and four M5 washers. Use thread lock on the screws to prevent them from vibrating loose. Tighten the screws using an M4 hex wrench.
128. Carefully remove the spinner cone and use a drill bit to make a small indentation on the backplate for the mounting screws. Remove the propeller and backplate. Use a drill press to drill the holes in the spinner backplate for the propeller mounting screws. GAS ENGINE INSTALLATION 133. Use the four M5 x 60 socket head cap screws, four M5 washers and four aluminum standoffs to attach the engine to the firewall. Make sure to use thread lock on all the screws to prevent them from vibrating loose. 129.
142. Slide the fuel tubing into position. 137. Use side cutters to remove the arms that face up, forward and rearward. Install the pushrod connector in the servo arm. Use a toothpick to apply a drop of thin CA to secure the nut. Use the instructions included with the engine for details regarding the position of the pushrod connector. 138. Secure the servo arm to the servo using the hardware included with the servo. 143. Attach the clunk to the fuel line.
147. Secure the ignition module and ignition battery in the fuselage. Keep both items close to the engine. A switch will also be required between the ignition module and battery. Make all the connections between the battery, ignition module and engine as outlined in the engine instructions. 152. Use a drill and 2mm drill bit to drill the locations for the cowl mounting screw. Drill through both the cowl and cowl mounting tab. 148. Secure the fuel line from the clunk to the carburetor using a tie wrap.
CANOPY INSTALLATION CENTER OF GRAVITY 157. Trim and install the instrument panels in the cockpit. An important part of preparing the aircraft for flight is properly balancing the model. Deviation from the measurements we provide is possible and may result in a model that suits your flying style better. Start with the recommended center of gravity, then feel free to experiment with different balance points. We advise adjusting progressively and cautiously.
CONTROL THROWS PREFLIGHT CHECKLIST 1. • Charge the transmitter, receiver and motor batteries. Follow the instructions provided with the charger. Follow all manufacturer’s instructions for your electronic components. • Check the radio installation and make sure all control surfaces (aileron, elevator, rudder, and flaps) move correctly (i.e., the correct direction and with the recommended throws).

ENTFERNEN VON FALTEN MONTAGE DES QUERRUDERS Durch den Versand können bei der Abdeckung Ihres Modells Falten entstehen. Mithilfe eines Heißsiegelgeräts (HAN101) und Folienbügeleisen-Schutzbezug (HAN141) können Sie diese entfernen. Fangen Sie mit einer niedrigen Temperatureinstellung an und seien Sie vorsichtig, wenn Sie um Bereiche herum arbeiten, in denen sich die Farben überschneiden, um zu vermeiden, dass die Farben sich trennen.

Jedes Loch mit 2-3 Tropfen dünnen CA-Klebstoff versehen, um das umgebende Holz zu härten. Der CA-Klebstoff muss vor dem Fortfahren vollständig ausgehärtet sein. Die Schrauben nicht zu stark anziehen, um die darunterliegende Struktur nicht zu beschädigen. 17. Die Gummihülsen und Ösen in den Servos des Querruders montieren.

35. Im Bereich um den Schlitz herum Klebeband mit geringer Klebekraft anbringen. So wird verhindert, das beim Einkleben des Stabilisators in den Schlitz Epoxid auf den Rumpf gelangt. 40. Von der Hinterkante der Kanzelöffnung bis zu den Stabilisatorspitzen auf der linken und rechten Rumpfseite zurück messen. Stabilisator so positionieren, dass die Messergebnisse links und rechts gleich sind. T-Stifte verwenden, um zu verhindern, dass der Stabilisator sich im Schlitz bewegt. 36.
45. Den Stabilisator wieder in den Schlitz am Rumpf schieben. 2–3 Meter (8–10 Fuß) zurücktreten und überprüfen, ob der Stabilisator parallel zum Flügelrohr steht. Ist dies nicht der Fall, den Stabilisator entfernen und den Schlitz im Rumpf leicht abschleifen, bis der Stabilisator einwandfrei mit dem Flügelrohr ausgerichtet ist. 50. MONTAGE VON SEITENRUDER UND SERVOGESTÄNGE 58. Aluminium-Gelenkkopf in den Kunststoff-Stangenkopf einsetzen und den Stangenkopf dann mit 14 Umdrehungen auf das Gestänge schrauben. Stangenkopf mit einem Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher Nr. 2 und einer M3 x 10 Maschinenschraube an der äußeren Öffnung des Seitenruder-Steuerhorns befestigen. 53. Die Aufhängungen mit 30-minütigem Epoxid im Seitenruder einkleben. Dazu die Techniken verwenden, die im Abschnitt für die Querruder-Aufhängungen beschrieben sind. 54.
MONTAGE DES SPORNRADS MONTAGE VON HÖHENRUDER UND SERVOGESTÄNGE 63. Den auf der Unterseite des Seitenruders befindlichen Pinnenarm ausrichten. Mit einem Filzstift die Position der Befestigungsschrauben auf dem Seitenruder markieren. Mit einem 1,5 mm Bohreinsatz die zwei Löcher für die Befestigungsschrauben des Pinnenarms bohren. 68. Die Aufhängungen mit 30-minütigem Epoxid im Höhenruder einkleben. Dazu die Techniken verwenden, die im Abschnitt für die Querruder-Aufhängungen beschrieben sind.
72. Den Servo des Höhenruders in der Halterung platzieren, wobei der Ausgang zur Rumpfrückseite weist. Die Position der Befestigungsschrauben an der Halterung markieren. Servo entfernen und mit einem Bohrer und einem 1,5-mmBohreinsatz die Öffnungen für die Befestigungsschrauben bohren. Befestigungsschrauben in die Öffnungen in der Funkhalterung eindrehen. Die Schrauben ausdrehen und 2 bis -3 Tropfen dünnen CA-Klebstoff in jede Öffnung geben.
86. Prüfen, dass sich das Rad frei drehen kann, ohne an die Anschlaghülsen oder die Radverkleidung anzustoßen. Prüfen, dass sich das Rad auf der Achse frei drehen kann. MONTAGE DES FAHRWERKS 81. Die Achse mit zwei 1/2-Zoll-Schraubenschlüsseln am Fahrwerk befestigen 82. Die Anschlaghülsen entfernen und mit einer Flachfeile einen flachen Bereich entlang der Unterseite der Achse ausführen. Die Einstellschrauben der Anschlaghülsen werden an diesem flachen Bereich angezogen. 87.

Das Servokabel vom Flügel an die Verlängerung anschließen. 101. Das kürzere Flügelrohr in die Lasche des oberen Flügels schieben. Das Rohr sollte sich ganz leicht positionieren.
109. Die Montagestifte der Flügelstreben mit den mitgelieferten Klemmen sichern. 114. Die Halterungen übereinanderlegen und schwaches Klebeband verwenden, um sie bis zur Aushärtung des Epoxids zusammenzuhalten. Auf die richtige Ausrichtung aller Bohrungen achten. 110. Mit einer Standbohrmaschine die Löcher für die Propellermontageschrauben in die Spinnerrückwand bohren. MONTAGE DES BENZINMOTORS 133. Mit vier M5 x 60 Zylinderkopfschrauben, vier M5Unterlegscheiben und vier Aluminiumabstandhaltern den Motor am Brandschott befestigen.
142. Die Kraftstoffleitung in ihre Position schieben. 137. Die nach oben, nach vorn und nach hinten zeigenden Arme mit einem Seitenschneider entfernen. Den Gestängeanschluss im Servoarm installieren. Mit einem Zahnstocher einen Tropfen dünnen CA-Klebstoff auftragen, um die Mutter zu fixieren. Die dem Motor beiliegenden Anweisungen enthalten Einzelheiten über die Position des Gestängeanschlusses. 138. Den Servoarm mit der zum Servo gehörenden Hardware am Servo befestigen. 143.
147. Das Zündmodul und den Zündakku im Rumpf fixieren. Beide Elemente nahe am Motor halten. Zwischen dem Zündmodul und dem Akku ist auch ein Schalter erforderlich. Alle Verbindungen zwischen Akku, Zündmodul und Motor gemäß den Anweisungen für den Motor vornehmen. 152. Mit einer Bohrmaschine und einem 2 mm-Bohrer Löcher für die Befestigungsschrauben der Motorhaube bohren. Durch die Motorhaube und die Halterungslaschen der Motorhaube bohren. 148.
MONTAGE DER KANZEL SCHWERPUNKT 157. Instrumententafeln trimmen und im Cockpit einbauen. Ein wichtiger Teil bei der Vorbereitung des Flugzeugs für den Flug ist das ordnungsgemäße Ausbalancieren des Modells. Abweichungen von den von uns bereitgestellten Maßen sind möglich und können ein Modell ergeben, das besser zum eigenen Flugstil passt. Mit dem empfohlenen Schwerpunkt beginnen und dann mit verschiedenen Gleichgewichtspunkten experimentieren. Wir empfehlen ein schrittweises und vorsichtiges Anpassen.
RUDERAUSSCHLAG VORFLUGKONTROLLE 1. Den Sender und Empfänger des Modells einschalten. Die Bewegung des Seitenruders mit dem Empfänger prüfen. Wird der Hebel nach rechts bewegt, sollte sich auch das Seitenruder nach rechts bewegen. Die Richtung auf dem Servo am Empfänger bei Bedarf umkehren. 2. Die Bewegung des Höhenruders mit dem Funksystem prüfen. Wird der Hebel des Höhenruders auf dem Sender nach unten bewegt, so bewegt sich das Höhenruder des Flugzeugs nach oben. 3.

RETRAIT DES FAUX-PLIS INSTALLATION DE L’AILERON Des faux-plis peuvent se former sur l’entoilage de votre modèle pendant l’expédition. Utilisez un fer d’entoilage (HAN101) avec une chaussette de fer d’étanchéité (HAN141) pour les retirer. Commencez avec une température peu élevée, puis faites attention lorsque vous travaillez sur des surfaces où les couleurs se chevauchent afin d’éviter de les séparer.
6. Appliquez de la colle époxy dans chaque encoche de charnière de l’aileron. 11. Insérez l’aileron sur l’aile. Imprégnez du papier absorbant d’alcool isopropylique et retirez tout excédent de colle époxy. 7. Encastrez les charnières dans l’aileron. Vérifiez l’alignement de chaque charnière. 12. Utilisez du ruban adhésif à faible adhérence pour maintenir l’aileron en place jusqu’au séchage complet de la colle époxy. Avant de continuer, laissez la colle époxy sécher.
16. Fixez le renvoi de commande à l’aide de la plaque arrière du renvoi de commande et d’une vis d’assemblage creuse M3 x 14. Utilisez une clé à six pans de 2,5 mm pour serrer la vis. 21. Appliquez 2 ou 3 gouttes de colle cyanoacrylate fine dans chaque trou pour durcir la structure de bois qui l’encadre. Avant de continuer, laissez la colle sécher complètement. Ne serrez pas trop la vis et n’endommagez pas la structure sous-jacente. 17.

35. Placez du ruban adhésif à faible adhérence autour de la fente. Cette étape permet d’éviter que la colle époxy ne se répande sur le fuselage lors du collage du stabilisateur dans la fente. 40. Mesurez à partir du bord arrière de l’ouverture de la verrière jusqu’aux extrémités du stabilisateur sur les côtés gauche et droit du fuselage. INSTALLATION DE LA ROULETTE DE QUEUE INSTALLATION DE LA TRINGLERIE DE LA PROFONDEUR ET DU SERVO 63. Placez le bras de barre sur la partie inférieure de la gouverne de direction. Utilisez un stylo-feutre pour indiquer les emplacements destinés aux vis de montage sur la gouverne de direction. Utilisez une perceuse et une mèche de 1,5 mm (5/64 po) pour percer les deux emplacements pour les vis de la barre. 68. Collez les charnières dans la profondeur avec une colle époxy 30 minutes.

RIMOZIONE DELLE GRINZE INSTALLAZIONE DEGLI ALETTONI La copertura del modello potrebbe sviluppare delle grinze durante la spedizione. Usare un ferro da stiro modellismo (HAN101) con il relativo guanto di protezione (HAN141) per rimuovere le grinze. Iniziare con un’impostazione termica più bassa e prestare attenzione quando si lavora attorno ad aree con sovrapposizione di colori per evitarne la separazione.
6. Applicare colla epossidica negli alloggiamenti per le cerniere nell’alettone. 11. Montare l’alettone sull’ala. Utilizzare panno di carta e alcool isopropilico per rimuovere l’eventuale colla in eccesso. 7. Inserire le cerniere nell’alettone. Verificare l’allineamento di ciascuna cerniera. 12. Utilizzare nastro a bassa adesione per tenere l’alettone in posizione fino ad asciugatura completa della colla epossidica. Prima di procedere, lasciare che la colla si asciughi del tutto.
16. Fissare la squadretta con la piastra posteriore della squadretta e una vite a esagono incassato M3 x 14. Serrare la vite con una chiave a brugola da 2,5 mm. 21. Applicare 2-3 gocce di colla cianoacrilica in ognuno dei fori per irrobustire il legno circostante. Prima di procedere, lasciare asciugare completamente la colla cianoacrilica. 35. Applicare del nastro a bassa adesività attorno all’incavo. Si eviterà così che la colla epossidica possa fissarsi sulla fusoliera quando si procede a incollare lo stabilizzatore nell’incavo. 40. Misurare partendo dal bordo posteriore dell’apertura del tettuccio fino alle punte dello stabilizzatore sul fianco sinistro e destro della fusoliera. Posizionare lo stabilizzatore in modo che le misurazioni a destra e sinistra siano uguali. Usare i perni a T per evitare che lo stabilizzatore si muova nell’incavo.
45. Risistemare lo stabilizzatore nella tasca della fusoliera. Allontanarsi di 2-3 m e controllare che stabilizzatore e tubo alare siano paralleli. Se non lo sono, rimuovere lo stabilizzatore e carteggiare leggermente l’incavo fino a quando lo stabilizzatore non risulta perfettamente allineato con il tubo alare. 50. 58. Inserire una sfera di alluminio nella testa a snodo di plastica, quindi avvitare la testa di 14 giri sull’asta di comando. MONTAGGIO DEL RUOTINO DI CODA MONTAGGIO DI EQUILIBRATORE E LEVERAGGIO DEL SERVO 63. Sistemare il braccio posteriore sul fondo del timone. Usare un pennarello a feltro per segnare la posizione delle viti di montaggio sul timone. Utilizzare un trapano con punta da 1,5 mm per trapanare i due fori per leviti di montaggio della barra. 68. Montare le cerniere nell’equilibratore usando colla epossidica “30 minuti”. Usare la tecnica descritta in questa sezione per le cerniere degli alettoni.
72. Posizionare il servo dell’equilibratore nel supporto con l’uscita rivolta verso il retro della fusoliera. Marcare la posizione delle viti di montaggio sul supporto. Rimuovere il servo e con un trapano con punta da 1,5 mm trapanare i fori per le viti di fissaggio. Avvitare le viti nei fori del supporto della radio. Rimuovere le viti prima di applicare 2-3 gocce di colla cianoacrilica fine in ciascun foro. Lasciare asciugare completamente la colla e poi fissare il servo con le viti fornite con lo stesso.
86. Verificare che la ruota sia libera di ruotare senza dover piegare i collarini o la carenatura. Regolare i collarini in modo da consentire alla ruota di girare liberamente sull’assale. MONTAGGIO DEL CARRELLO DI ATTERRAGGIO 81. Utilizzare due chiavi da 1/2" per fissare l’assale al carrello di atterraggio 82. Rimuovere i collarini delle ruote e con una lima piatta levigare una superficie piana lungo il fondo dell’assale. Le viti di arresto dei collarini delle ruote andranno serrate su questa zona piana.
90. I pannelli del carrello di atterraggio possono essere installati sul fondo della fusoliera con adesivo a contatto o del nastro trasparente. 95. Rimuovere il portello dalla sezione centrale dell’ala superiore con un cacciavite a croce #2. Mettere da parte le due viti e il coperchio. 91. Controllare che le carenature dei carrelli non sfreghino contro la fusoliera. Regolarne la posizione se necessario. 96.
100. Fissare le linguette di montaggio dei montanti interalari alla parte inferiore dell’ala superiore con viti con testa a bottone M4 x 10. Non serrare le viti in modo da poter regolare correttamente la posizione delle linguette. 105. Fissare il pannello alare usando due bulloni di montaggio in nylon da 1/4-20 x 1". Collegare il cavo del servo dall’ala alla prolunga. 101. Far scorrere il tubo alare più corto nella tasca dell’ala superiore. Il tubo scivolerà facilmente in posizione.
109. Fissare i perni di montaggio dei montanti interalari utilizzando le clip in dotazione. 114. Appoggiare i supporti e usare del nastro adesivo a bassa adesività per tenerli insieme fino a quando la colla non si asciuga completamente. Assicurarsi che tutti i fori siano allineati. 110. Una volta fissati tutti i perni, serrare le viti con testa a bottone M4 x 10 con una chiave esagonale da 2,5 mm.

Effettuare tutti i collegamenti tra la batteria, il modulo di accensione e il motore come indicato nelle istruzioni del motore. 152. Utilizzare un trapano con punta da 2 mm per trapanare i fori per le viti di montaggio della cappottatura.
INSTALLAZIONE DEL CUPOLINO BARICENTRO (CG) 157. Rifinire e installare i quadri strumenti nell’abitacolo. Una fase importante della preparazione al volo è quella della individuazione di un bilanciamento accurato. È possibile adottare impostazioni diverse da quelle qui riportate per portare il modello a rispondere in modo meglio corrispondente allo stile di volo del pilota.
CORSE DEI COMANDI LISTA DEI CONTROLLI PRIMA DEL VOLO 1. Accendere la trasmittente e la ricevente del modello. Controllare il movimento del timone con il radiocomando. Quando si sposta lo stick a destra il timone si deve spostare verso destra. Se necessario intervenire sul Reverse del tramettitore. 2. Controllare il movimento dell’elevatore con il radiocomando. Spostando lo stick dell’elevatore verso il basso del trasmettitore, l’elevatore sul modello si sposterà in alto. 3.
