Adjust the Rotational Limit Stop Adjust the rotational limit stop if: • The maximum output temperature is greater than 120°F or that permitted by local plumbing code • The temperature of the incoming hot or cold water supply changes seasonally, or if changes are made to the water heater. Turn the rotational limit stop, clockwise to make the water cooler, counter-clockwise to make it warmer. Depending on local conditions, each notch represents a change in temperature of 4°F - 16°F.
