Sander Safety Warnings For your Own Safety Read Instruction Manual Before Operating Sander 1. Wear eye protection. SAFETy 2. Support workpiece with miter gauge, backstop, or worktable. 3. Maintain 1/16 inch maximum clearance between table and sanding belt or disc. 4. The backstop is a fence near the surface that helps the operator maintain control of the workpiece and prevents the workpiece from being pulled into the machine. For safety, it must be adjusted very close to the sanding surface. SETUp 5.
2. Do not smoke during use. Nicotine reduces the blood supply to the hands and fingers, increasing the risk of vibration-related injury. 3.
