INSTRUCTIONS FOR ULTRAWELD

GROUNDING CONNECTIONS - CABLE TO STEEL OR CAST IRON

Place end of cable under center of tap hole. When

welding to flat steel, hold down on mold cover to prevent

mold from tipping. (Note: Handle clamps may be placed

on either the cable side or the opposite side, whichever is

required.)

Place end of cable under center of tap hole. Pack cable

opening with packing material when necessary. When

welding to flat steel, hold down on mold cover to prevent

prevent from tipping.

Place cable in the mold. When welding to flat steel, hold

down on mold cover to prevent mold from tipping. If

welding to pipe, use horizontal chain support. Pack cable

opening with packing material when necessary.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Always wear proper clothing, safety glasses and gloves when exothermic welding. 2. Only weld items that the mold is designed for. 3. Do not use worn or broken molds which could cause leakage of molten weld metal. 4.
