Quick Start Guide
This quick start guide contains important information on the safe operation of the
product. Read and follow the safety advice and instructions given. Retain the manual
for future reference. If you pass the product on to others please include this manual.

Operating elements
Using the product
1. To power the unit, you can insert a 9V battery or connect a 9V DC adapter to the 9V
socket on the front of the unit (centre negative ). The device is immediately
ready for use.
2. Connect an instrument to the INPUT jack using a 1/4" phone jack cable and turn the
GAIN knob to the left stop.
3. Play the instrument, turn the GAIN control clockwise and observe the CLIP LED. When
the colour changes from green to red, the input is overloaded and distortion occurs.
Then turn the GAIN control counter-clockwise until the LED lights up green only.
4. To adjust the volume, turn the VOLUME knob to the desired position.
5. Use BASS and TREBLE knobs to adjust the desired sound. When you set the SHAPE
switch to the ON position, the mids will be attenuated and the treble and bass will be
boosted.
6. To check the correct tuning of the instrument, you can connect a tuner to the TUNER
output.
7. To accompany your playing, you can connect a device with line level output to the LINE
IN jack. The signal is present at all outputs of the device.
8. To use the Chorus eect, press the CHORUS switch, use the SPEED knob to adjust the
desired speed, and the DEPTH knob to adjust the desired eect depth. The corre-
sponding LED is lit when the eect is activated.
9. To use the Reverb eect, press the REVERB switch, use the DWELL knob to set the
desired decay time, and use the REVERB control to adjust the desired reverb ratio. The
corresponding LED is lit when the eect is activated.
10. You can connect headphones to the PHONES output.

You can connect the input of an amplier to the OUTPUT jack. Before doing so, turn
the VOLUME knob to the left stop to avoid loud noise when connecting.
12. After playing, disconnect a used 9V
mains adapter from the mains power supply.
Possible hearing damage
Making music for a prolonged period and at high volume can cause
hearing damage. Avoid playing the unit at full volume, especially when
using headphones.

15 REVERB – turns Reverb eect on or o
16 DI OUT – output to connect to a mixing console (XLR)
17 PHONES – headphones out (1/4"phone jack)
18 REVERB – DWELL: controls the decay of the reverb eect
REVERB: controls the amount of reverb mixed
with the dry signal

Safety instructions
Intended use
This device is intended to preamplify signals from musical instruments. Any other use
or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result
in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages re-
sulting from improper use.
Danger for children
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are
not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure
that children do not detach any small parts from the product. They could
swallow the pieces and choke! choke! Never let children unattended use
electrical devices.
Risk of re due to incorrect polarity
Incorrectly inserted batteries may destroy the device or the batteries. Ensure that pro-
per polarity is observed when inserting batteries.
Possible damage by leaking batteries
Leaking batteries can cause permanent damage to the device.
Take batteries out of the device if it is not going to be used for a longer period.
Where to use the product
Never use the product
• in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
• in extremely dusty or dirty areas
• at locations where the unit can become wet
General handling
• To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.
• Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid
cleaners such as benzene, thinners or ammable cleaning agents.
For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have
been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, pack-
aging, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your
normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Please
follow the notes and markings on the packaging.
Batteries must not be disposed of as domestic waste or thrown into re. Dispose of
batteries according to national or local regulations regarding hazardous waste. Dispo-
se of empty batteries at appropriate collection sites.
This product is subject to the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Di-
rective (WEEE) in its currently valid version. Do not dispose of your old device with your
normal household waste. Dispose of this product through an approved waste disposal
rm or through your local waste facility. Comply with the rules and regulations that
apply in your country. If in doubt, consult your local waste disposal facility.
