REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS
TuningUp/Down:Whenhe tunerisinuse,these
buttonswilltuneupordownthroughtheselectedfre-
quencyband.IftheTunerModeButton_)E'_I has
beenpressedsothattheAUTOIndicator[] is illumi-
nated,pressingeitherofthebuttonswillcausethetuner
to seekthenextstationwithacceptablesignalstrength
forqualityreception.WhentheAUTOIndicator[] is
NOTilluminated,pressingthesebuttonswilltunesta-
tionsinsingle-stepincrements.(Seepage25for more
information.)
MacroButtons:Pressthesebuttonsto storeor
recalla"Macro",whichisa preprogrammedsequence
of commandsstoredintheremote.(Seepage28 for
moreinformationon storingandrecallingmacros.)
TransportControls:Thesebuttonsdonothave
anyfunctionsfortheAVR125, buttheymaybepro-
grammedfortheforward/reverseplayoperationof a
widevarietyof CDorDVDplayers,andaudioorvideo
cassetterecorders.(Seepage29 formoreinformation
onprogrammingtheTransportConb-olPunch-Through
capabilityoftheremote.)
Skip Up/DownButton:Thesebuttonshaveno
directfunctionwiththeAVR125, butwhenusedwith
a compatiblyprogrammedCDorDVDchanger,they
willchangethetrackorchapterofthedisccurrently
beingplayedinthechanger.
DiscSkip Button:Thisbuttonhasnodirect
functionfor theAVR125, butwhenusedwithacom-
patiblyprogrammedCDor DVDchanger,itwillchange
thedisccurrentlybeingplayedinthechanger.(See
page28 for moreinformationonusingtheremote
withotherdevices.)
PresetUp/Down:Whenthetuneris inuse,
pressthesebuttonsto scrollthroughthestationspro-
grammedintotheAVR125'smemory.Whensome
sourcedevices,suchasCDplayers,VCRsandcas-
settedecks,areselectedusingthedeviceInput
Selectors41_t,thesebuttonsmayfunctionas
ChapterSteporTrackAdvance.
ClearButton:Pressthisbuttonto clearincorrect
enbieswhenusingtheremoteto directlyentera radio
station'sfrequency.
MemoryButton:Bessthisbuttonto enteraradio
stationintotheAVR125'spresetmemory.Oncethe
MemoryIndicator[] flashes,youhavefiveseconds
to entera presetmemorylocationusingtheNumeric

Delay/PreyCh.: Pressthisbuttonto begin
theprocessforsettingthedelaytimesusedbythe
AVR125 whenprocessingsurroundsound.After
pressingthisbutton,thedelaytimesareenteredby
pressingtheSet Button_ andthenusingthe
A/v Buttonsqi_)qj_l to changethesetting.Press
theSetButton_ againto completetheprocess.

settings.
SpeakerSelect: Pressthisbuttonto beginthe
processof configuringtheAVR125's bassmanage-
mentsystemfor usewiththetypeof speakersused
inyoursystem.Oncethebuttonhasbeenpressed,
usethe A/'v Buttonsqi_!_qj_lto selectthechan-
nelyouwishto set up.PresstheSet Button
andthenselectanotherchannelto configure.When
alladjustmentshavebeencompleted,pressthe
Set Button_ twicetoexitthesettingsand

SpareButton:Thisbuttondoesnothaveany
functionfortheoperationof theAVR125, butitis
availableforusewhenprogrammedwiththecode
fromanotherremote.(Seepage27 forinformation
on programmingtheremotewithcodesfor other
devices.)
VolumeUp/Down:Pressthesebuttonsto raise
or lowerthesystemvolume.Seepage29 for more
informationonprogrammingtheVolumePunch-
Throughcapabilityof theremote,whichallowsyouto
changetheAVR125'svolumewhiletheremoteisset
to conb-olanotherdevice.
W/VideoSelector:Thisbuttondoesnothavea
directfunctionontheAVR125, butwhenusedwitha
compatiblyprogrammedVCR,DVDor satellitereceiver
thathasa "IV/Video"function,pressingthisbuttonwill
switchbetweentheoutputof theplayerorreceiver
andtheexternalvideoinputto thatplayer.Consultthe
owner'smanualforyourspecificplayeror receiverfor
thedetailsof howitimplementsthisfunction.
6-ChannelDirectInput:Pressthisbuttonto
selectthecomponentconnectedto the6-Channel
DirectInput _ asthesource.
Mute:Pressthisbuttonto momentarilysilence
theAVR125 orTVsetbeingconb-olled,dependingon
whichdevicehasbeenselected.WhentheAVR125
ismuted,pressthisbuttonorusetheVolume
Control[] _ to returnto thepreviousvolume
level.WhentheAVR125 remoteisbeingprogrammed
to operateanotherdeviceorwhenamacrocommand
isbeingprogrammed,thisbuttonispressedwiththe
InputSelectorButton_ to begintheprogram-
