ondsafterthedesiredsettingisshown.
11. Pressthe A/V Buttonsqi_)qi_l_ontheremote
onceso that([ T ]) EL AY appearsintheMain
InformationDisplayr-J.
12. PressthetheSetButton_ _.
13. Pressthe A/V Buttonsqi_)qi_l_ontheremote
or theSelectorButtons[] onthefrontpanel
untilthedesireddelaytimeforthecenterchannel
appearsinthedisplay.
14. PresstheSet Button_ _ to entertheset-
tingintotheAVR125's memory.
AdditionalInputAdjustments
In additionto themajoradjustmentsdescribedinthe
precedingpages,youmayalsowishto setthetypeof
audiosource(analogordigital)to beusedwithan
inputatthistime.Oncea specificaudiosourcetypeis
associatedwithanyoftheinputs,it willremaininthe
memoryuntilit ischanged,evenwhenanotherinputis
selected.Toattachoneofthedigitalinputsto a specific
source,followthesesteps:
1. PresstheDigital Buttonqi_m.
2. Immediatelypressthe A/V Buttonsqi_qi_l_ or
SelectorButtons[] to scrollthroughthelistof
availabledigitalinputsortheanaloginput.
3. Whenthedesiredinputtypeisshowninboththe
Main InformationDisplay[] andintheAnalog
[/:_J,CoaxialDigital Input[] orOpticalDigital
Input[] Indicators,presstheSetButton
W to enterthesettingintotheunitsmemory.
WhentheStereo-Direct(SurroundOff)modeis in use,
youmayonlyselecttheanaloginputfora source.
WhentheStereo-Digitalmodeisin use,youmay
selectfromanyof thedigitalinputsthatyouhave
connectedto yoursourcecomponents.
Youmayalso"memorize"a specificsurroundmodeso
thatitwillalwaysbeusedwhenaninputisselected.
TheAVR125 alwaysremembersthelastsurround
modeusedwithanyinput,butduringthesetup
processyoumaywishto presetthemodesfor each
source.Todothat,followthesesteps:
1. Selectaninputby pressingoneoftheInput
Selectors_ _ [] ortheAM/FMTuner
Selectqi_D.
2. PresstheSurroundModeSelectorql]_E_, and
immediatelypressthe A/V Buttonsqi_)qi_l_or
SurroundModeSelector[] to scrollthroughthe
listof availablesurroundmodes.Notethatthe
nameofeachmodewillscrollfromrightto left
acrosstheMain InformationDisplay[]. To
avoidhavingthesystem"timeout"andexitthe
selectprocess,besureto presstheA/V Buttons
qi_qi_l_ orSurroundModeSelector[] to
selectthenextmodeatanytimethemodename
isdisplayed.
3. WhenthedesiredmodenameappearsintheMain
InformationDisplay[] andintheSurround
ModeIndicators m, simplypausefor a few
secondsto allowtheunitto "timeout_'Yourselec-
tionwillbememorizedandwillbeactivatedeach
timetheinputisselecteduntilanothermodeis
selected.
4. Repeattheprocessforeachoftheinputs.
5. WhenthedesiredSurroundmodehasbeen
enteredforallinputs,presstheSetButtonqi]_.
Oncethesettingsoutlinedonthepreviouspageshave
beenmade,theAVR125 isreadyfor operation.While
therearesomeadditionalsettingsto be made,these
arebestdoneafteryouhavehadanopportunityto lis-
tento a varietyof sourcesanddifferentkindsof pro-
grammaterial.Thesesettingsaredescribedonpages
21through26 ofthismanual.Inaddition,anyof the
settingsmadeintheinitialconfigurationoftheunit
maybechangedat anytime.Asyouaddnewordif-
ferentsourcesor speakers,or ifyouwishto changea
settingto betterreflectyourlisteningtaste,simplyfol-
lowtheinstructionsforchangingthesettingsforthat
parameter,asshowninthissection.
