quicklyandeasilysetdelaytimeswiteouttheneedto
calculatethemusinga complexformulaInstead,all
youneedto doismeasuretheapproximatedistance
betweenyourlisteningpositionandeachof tee
speakeTsinyoursyslemWhenyouenterteose
distancesintoteeAVR'smemoryasshownbelow,
teeAVR'smicroprocessordoestherestof teework,
calculatingtheproperdelaytimeThemeasurements
neednotbeaccurateto theinch,asthesystemis
designedto accommodatea typicallistenir/garea
ratherthanrequiretheprecisemeasurementtoone
"sweetspot"position,
Dueto teeditterencesinteewayeachsurround
modeoperates,somemodesallowfora greaterrange
of delaytimesthanotee_slo avoidproblems,we
recommendthatdelaylimesbeadjustedusingthe
DolbyDigitalmode.Ifa differentmodeisselectedat
a laterlime,theAVR155 willautornaticallyrestrict
thedelaysettingsto teoserequiredbythesurround
modeJnuse
DelaytimesareonlyadjustableforteeDolbymodes,
soyouwillnotksethattheDEL A Y menumaynot
beaccessedwhenanyothermode,suchasa DTS
or Logic7 option,hasbeenselected.Inaddition,
whena r/onDolbyDigitalmodesuchas Dolby3
StereoorProLogicIIisselected,adjustrnentsmay
bemadeto theSurroundspeakersonly
