4. Connectthe digitalaudio outputsof a DVD
player,satellitereceiver,cableboxor HDTVcon-
verterto the appropriateOptical or Coaxial
Digital Inputs _I_'ti_!.
5. Connect the Video Monitor Output _)
jacks on the receiver to the composite or
S-Video input of your television monitor or
video projector
Video Connection Note:
Composite and S-Video signals may only be
viewec in their native formats. S-Video inputs
may only be viewed when the AVR 220 is
connected to a TV set or video display with
S-Video capability.
Power Connections
Thisunit isequippedwith two accessoryAC
outlets.Theymaybe usedto poweraccessory
devices,but theyshouldnot beusedwith high-
currentdraw equipmentsuchas powerampli-
fiers.Thetotal aowerdraw to eachoutlet may
not exceed100watts.
TheSwitchedACAccessoryOutlet _) will
receivepower only whenthe unit ison.Thisis
recommendedfor devicesthat haveno power
switchor a mechanicapower switchthat may
be left inthe "ON" 3osition.
NOTE:Manyaudio andvideo productsgo into
a Standbymodewhen theyare usedwith
switchedoutlets,and cannotbefully turned on
usingthe outletalonewithout a remotecontrol
command.
TheUnswitchedACAccessoryOutlet
will receivepoweras longasthe unit is
pluggedinto a poweredAC outlet.
