Operation
Once the menu appears on your video screen,
use the A/v buttons li_ to move the on-
screen I_ cursor so that it is next to the channel
that you wish to adjust. Then, usethe ,/I_
Buttons l_tl_i) to raise or lower the output
evel. %member, the goal is to have the output
evel at each channe be equal when heard at
the listening position.
Whenall adjustmentsaredone,pressthe A/v
li_ buttonsto movethe on-screen!_ cur-
sorso that it is nextto RE TU RN T0
II E NU and then pressthe Set Button _ if
youwishto go backto the main menuto make
other adjustments.If youhaveno other adjust-
mentsto make,pressthe OSDButton _ to
exit the menusystem.
NOTE:TheoutputlevelsmaybeseparateJy
trimmedfor eachdictal andanalogsurrounc
mode.If youwishto havedifferenttrim levelsfor
a specificmode,selectthat modeandthenfollow
theinstructionsin thesteosshownearlier.
6-Channel Direct Input
TheAVR 220 is equipped for future expansion
through the use of optional, external adapters
for formats that the AVR 220 may not be capa-
ble of processing. When an adapter is connected
to the 6-Channel Direct Input _), you may
select it by pressing the 6-Ch Direct Input
Selector I_I. The 6-Channel Direct Input may
also be selected by pressing the Input Source
Selector Button [] on the front panel until
the words 6 CH DIRECT appear in the
Main Information Display [C4J,and a green
LEDlights next to 6 CH in the Input
Indicators [].
Notethat whenthe 6-ChannelDirectInput is in
use,youmaynot selecta surroundmode,as
the externaldecoderdeterminesprocessing.In
addition,there isnosignalat the recordout-
putswhen the 6-ChannelDirectI_put is in use.
Memory Backup
Thisproductisequippedwith a memorybackup
systemthat preservesthe systemconfiguration
informationand tuner presetsif the unit is acci-
dentallyunpluggedor subjectedto a power
outage.Thismemorywill lastfor approximately
two weeks,after whichtime all information
mustbereentered.
