Ericsson recommends that addresses be reserved for maximum configur
ation
at each site.
Limited address space can cause problems for large systems. The following
limitations are valid per MSC:
• 65,535 each of analog and digital voice channels (MVCs and
MDVCs)
• 2,047 each of Analog Control Channels (MCCs), Digital Control
Channels (MDCCs), Mobile Telephone Locating Mo
dules (MLOCs)
and Location Verification Modules (MVERs)
• Total MBCEQ=65,504
• Total EMG=1024
5.6.2 Cell Design Data (CDD): Pico 850/1900 MHz
The Network Data Form (Figure 5-6 on page 5-33 ) is used to collect all the
design data needed for a cell. This
includes the following:
• Hardware and software connections for voice and control signaling at
the base station
• Hardware connections between the various devices in a cell
• Definition of the associated software connections in the MSC
